I'm giving this place one star only because it's mandatory to select a rating. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

I spent $55 on a meal that included chicken tikka fried rice, shrimp fried rice, and a chicken curry combo. Unfortunately, none of the dishes were worth a single penny, let alone the full price.

When I attempted to share my concerns with the owner, they showed no interest in addressing the issues or listening to feedback. I even requested a refund, but they claimed that refunds are against their policy. Instead, they offered to replace the food, which I declined. In fact, I returned the food within an hour and voiced my concern at that time as well.

A small positive note: the front desk person showed understanding of my concern.

I have been eating at Saffron Indian Foods for years, and I have yet to be underwhelmed by a single meal. The overwhelming amount of care and attention that goes into the food is evident in every bite; it surely must be a point of pride for the establishment. The home cooking makes you feel like you are a part of the family, and the Alberts are always happy to see you.

The food is excellent, the servings are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The Alberts are a friendly, community-oriented family, and they are absolutely an example of 'the Canadian Dream'--moving to Canada, building up the community they live in, and starting a small business.

You are absolutely doing yourself a disservice if you have yet to try Saffron Indian Foods. It is my sincere hope that this review will convince you to give them a try if you have not...

I ordered their noodle aloo tikki burger and the paneer butter masala combo - the burger was like a perfect snack! Sweet, spicy and tangy; simply delicious!

The paneer dish on the other hand was a bit of a letdown - way too tomatoey and sweet! I have had tastier butter masala before and this one was just not up to par. It tasted more like tomato soup with paneer cubes!

However, I have tried other dishes on their menu; the paneer wrap and noodle aloo tikki burger are my absolute favourites!
