A&W Canada — Restaurant in Front of Yonge

Disappointing experience at this On Route A&W. The self-serve touch screens were frustrating to use, and we couldn’t even get a receipt. From the time we finished ordering to when we finally got our Teen Burger combos, it took 17 minutes.

When we got to the car, we found both drinks were wrong. Inside, the staff seemed more focused on socializing than serving. One girl putting orders together was taking her time restocking, walking slowly and yawning in full view, like she wanted everyone to notice. Meanwhile, the woman bagging food and the girl on fries were chatting, and none of them appeared to be wearing gloves. Another staff member was cleaning and then touching things behind the counter without gloves as well. One guy finally stepped up to the cash, but only after a long delay.

It all felt disorganized, unprofessional, and unhygienic—definitely not the kind of service or cleanliness you’d expect...

Absolutely do not recommend. Each time we have gone here, the ordering screens have not worked when it came time to pay. So you input all of your meals, twice if you tried both screens, and then can’t pay. When I was here some weeks ago, an employee immediately went to fix the problem. This time, the employee muttered that maybe it was a server error. Not only could I barely understand him, but there was no apology or response to my request that he pass it on to someone who could fix it. Then he informed me that there was no poutine, despite it being available on the screen. As if that wasn’t enough, he then forgot items in our order. Apparently there was no manager keeping an eye on things, helping with the lineup, or managing this awful employee. Is the OnRoute or A&W reading these reviews? Make some changes or shut down. I am from Sikh Religion and Pure Vegetarian person. There was a Huge lineup at tim Hortons, so i ordered BEYOND MEAT BURGER from A&W. There was a Tattooed Giy in the Kitchen)I don't know his name), he put Beef Patty and Bacon strips in the Burger, but on the packing, it was wriiten beyond meat. I don't know if he did this purposely or what was in his mind, but thankfully I recognized the that the patty was a bit different and when i checked it was confirmed that it was beefand bacon inside. But my question is ' what if I didn't checked it and just ate it??'. I live with some PRINCIPLES in my Life and one of them is being Vegetarian, but i think that that guy played a serious joke with me.After this I'll never be going to...
