By far New York Fries has the worst staff ever. I may have attended on a bad day but the service was terrible. I attended at lunch today. It was a rainy day so it wasn't too busy. I waited for 30 minutes because I noticed a staff at the back hiding and pretending to do work. She refused to serve me and didn't come out for the entire lunch service. I usually support the hard working staff and try not to critize them.
This worker was obviously angry at the owner and probably the supervisor as she wanted them to lose business but she was unkind to the customers. She could have encouraged me to go to another business like Tim Hortons but instead she just ignored me.
I must admit I thought that the experience would have been better. I like NY fries but today the staff didn't like us. The food is good but the customer service isn't. This will go in my top 10 worst customer service experiences.
I don't think I will ever go back to NY fries especially at the onroute in Mallory Town. The staff working today accomplished her goal she has ensured we will no longer want to attend that...
Read moreTerrible experience. Understaffed and improperly trained. 5pm on a Friday night, stopped for dinner while driving home. Took 5+ minutes for an employee to even be seen at the storefront. I had to yell out to get an employee's attention to get seen at all. Employee was quiet (couldn't hear half of their questions), didn't speak up, and seemed offended we were there. Ordered food, took a couple of minutes to arrive. Was okay - not at all like any NYF I have ordered from in terms of quality but it was food.
Went back a couple of minutes later and asked for salt for my fries. Employee was busy with another order; after he finished, ignored me and turned back into the back room.
Terrible disappointment. I expect better for it being dinnertime on a Friday along the 401. Will not be dining here if I can help it. Highly suggest anyone else simply pull off the highway in Kingston or Brockville and find a proper fast food restaurant with decent customer service skills who will actually attend...
Read moreMy partner and I stopped for lunch, we paid 38$ for 2 hotdogs(chilli & plain) and 2 poutines. There was no line, and it did not appear busy at the time, however the man was very rude taking our order and did not seem to want to be there. After we got our food, we noticed one poutine and one fry. We politely returned and told him that we had ordered a poutine instead of the fry and he started to argue with us telling us we only ordered one poutine and one fry. After a few minutes of trying to explain that I wanted the poutine, and agreeing to pay the difference if that’s what I needed to do, he finally agreed to put the cheese and gravy on the fries. The chilli cheese dog also did not have any beef on it. With the experience we had with the poutine we decided it was too much of a hassle to go back and beg for our order to be fixed. I will not be returning here and would rather drive 45 minutes to...
