Came to this restaurant because of its positive reviews, my partner and I were weirdly greeted by who I believe is the manager, who immediately asked us if we had call to make a reservation which we told him we did not, the place was pretty much empty, he began telling us that you would not be able to walk in unless you had reservations for Saturday evenings as they would usually be jam packed… it was a weird way of greeting his patrons. We were seated but the waitress forgot to hand us our menus so the “manager” realized we were sitting there with no water and no menu for a good 10 minutes, once we got our menus, we liked they different options, we decided to try their burgers as they looked amazing on picture reviews, we started with fried calamari which I have to say the batter was tasty flavourful, they were cooked close to perfection. However, the membrane of the calamari was not removed before preparing, and for some reason, the kitchen do not cut through the calamari so it’s have sliced and you have to cut it yourself which removes all the batter and gets your hands all oily which was less enjoyable. The burgers. They were amazing! Tasty, juicy and real good blends of different flavours, my partner had the funghi burger and I had the smash deluxe burger. Can’t complain, they were spot on. The fries though, over salted but good. The service was weird, it was at times professional and at other times ill mannered, it was like being served by two different worlds of socioeconomic status. We realized we were charged .95cents for a tiny cup of mayo which I’m sorry but seriously? Since when do we charge for basic condiments when the burger costs anywhere from 20-28$ like come on. A little ridiculous. We were going to have dessert there but they didn’t have any of the ones we wanted in stock. So overall, service is meh, food was good, atmosphere was as expected for a nice little bistro. Would I return? Yes but not right away. P.s tell your manager to get off the phone when he’s got patrons eating, no one wants to hear your conversations with...
Read moreThe place looks great! The service horrible! Family of 3 went in tonight... 20 mins from the time we sat down to when we got our drinks. Weren't given water apon seating. Food was not good at all! Manager seems rude but gave us our meals for free. We ordered both of us the Grilled Chicken Panini. The chicken tasted weird. The "Panini" is literally just a toasted sandwich. Half my Panini didn't even have chicken in it so initially I had a toasted BLT. Fries were plain. Sandwich didn't hold together, was falling apart. My spouses Sandwich just seemed and looked "thrown" together. Oh and by the time we finally got our food it had been almost 30mins for a "Toasted Grilled chicken sandwich" My son didn't have opinions for kids menu. The waitress told us they only have Poutine and spaghetti and even then the table beside us ordered Spaghetti and just before they're food came out she went back and informed them that they had no more spaghetti pasta. The place has half the A.C that doesn't doesn't work so while we ate we were hot while being left in the corner.
Not impressed. Missing Lala...
Read moreExcellent dining experience! What a hidden gem this restaurant is! Located right in downtown Buckingham, the menu here is varied with many exciting dining options. While our party had the shrimp pasta, philly cheese steak sandwich and classic smash burger, dishes like fish and chips, steak and fries and mussels all looked and smelled amazing. Clearly everything is made by hand here, and the fries are to die for! Our server knew the menu intimately and had a few recommendations of customer favourites. We did note there are daily lunch specials, and offer all you can eat mussels and fries on Sundays (reservations required). The owners are cooking and running the restaurant and are on site everyday. We overheard the neighbouring table say the breakfast here is fantastic. We love supporting small independently restaurants like this, especially when the food is this amazing! Highly...
