We didn't really have any expectations for the cafe attached to the museum, but they do a really good job. Not only do they have a large selection of good looking prepackaged foods, but they have a menu that they make fresh for you. Decent selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. It is a nice place to stop and relax and refuel all while looking out over the park and waterfront. We ordered the shawarma bowl to share. They cooked it and put it together fresh. We were both pleasantly surprised how good it is. They portion it out so that you can mix it around how you want which is great. Both sauces were really good. It was a really refreshing bowl and perfect to tide us over for the rest of our visit. Highly recommend the shawarma bowl here, its better than others I've had at some middle eastern...

The food was good but when I asked for a cup of hot water the woman behind the cash was surly and told me they wouldn’t give it to me. I had to pay for a coffee or a tea instead. Beautifully located within the Museum of Canadian history with views on the river and parliament buildings, the restaurant is convenient for museum goers. The taco bowl and the shawarma bowl are the best choices. Options for kids (hotdog, pizza, chicken fingers) are slightly disappointing- there should be a more balanced option like rice meat/tofu...
