Had brunch here on this amazing boxing sunny day at Glacebay in Cape Breton Island NS The food was simply Awsome and delicious Don’t forget to order the Traditional Egg Benny comes with poached eggs , ham on English muffin topped with hollandaise sauce, tomato slices and lovely cubed home fries cooked well. 2nd one was the Scottish Toast rolled in Oats & brown sugar with 2 bacon or sausages Excellent place to dine in anytime of the day Also the haddock fish & chips is simply Awsome and the Pork chops too. The servers are so warm and friendly and feels like being with the family even though we’re new to Sydney but this is going to be our next door eat out especially during weekends. Great job guys and appreciate the Chef and the Manager Frankie Keep it up guys and I recommend this quiet place value for you’re paying and the quality is amazing and also the quantity just enough Dec 26 2020. Since last Saturday we’ve already visited 3 times now being new comer to the island so you can imagine how wonderful is their food and whole...

The first time I ate here, it took quite a while to be served (not only for food, but for drinks and the check as well) I had the turkey dinner. The turkey and stuffing were So dry, not even the small amount of gravy could help. The cold carrots were decent enough I guess. The second time, I ordered eggs benedict. I asked for medium poached eggs, I got hard. The home fries were under cooked and about a third of the amount I would've received had I eaten in at the restaurant, and the English muffin I expected turned out to be a hamburger bun. Not overly impressed with this place. Also, the website indicates the eggs Benny was about $10, yet they charged me $16 (+5 for delivery)

*Update! The restaurant contacted me to address only one specific thing... it was not a hamburger bun, just a very large local made...

A few of us stopped here while on an interprovincial motorcycle trip. The place was recommended by some locals as post restaurants were closed due to post covid staff problems. I first want to mention how friendly the staff were...even exceeding Cape Breton standards. The were daily specials but we were too late so I missed my feed or corn beef and cabbage. However, the fish and chips were excellent as were all the other selections we had. Food was up in a reasonable time and staff were attentive. There were outside tables but we chose inside seating. The place was very clean and seating was comfortable. The a/c was a welcome relief on a hot day. Parking was a little tight was manageable. In summary, a lovely, friendly family style restaurant who's friendly staff served great food for a...

The food was decent, but none of it came out at the same time. Our waitress seemed to avoid the table, we placed our order, got our drinks then waited an hour for the first bit of food, another 20 minutes later a poutine we were missing came out. Wings were cold, and I never did get the sauce I'd asked for and she was never around for me to ask or remind. It was my first time there, and I can't see myself going out of my way to go back. The bathroom was horrid, I couldn't even use it- I just washed my hands and left. Full bin of soiled paper towel (some with feces), a mold buildup on a cover below the sink and a thick layer of dust on the toilet. I wish I could see the hype, but it was a bit disappointing.

Customer service sucks. Party of 4. One person never got their order. Ordered a golden girl. Fish and chips, Mozza stick. And a poutine. The golden girl order came with the poutine. The fish had raw batter. The Waitress didnt check on the table. Tried to call her over 2 times. The raw battered fish should have been brought back the kitchen but was still charged and plate was left at table turn the stomachs of the rest of the dinners at the table. More intention is needed when the customer orders and more care of needed from the kitchen. Would rather mcdonald over this experience.

Mom wanted to go here for Mother's Day. We were seated relatively fast. Food did take a while but they warned us of that. We've been here before and service is usually much faster. The food is always delicious. Great portion sizes and even better prices. $100 (including tip) is rare to find nowadays for a family of 4 adults. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. NOTE: they're known for their breakfast.
