I was actually disappointed which I was not expecting when writing a review for a Flavour restaurant. We were greeted and told to take a seat, in a restaurant, where I might add had only one other table of people present. We did not think the wait would be that long, it took the server about 20 minutes after we called them over to bring us some menus. Then took another approximately 10 to 15 minutes to take a drink order, etc. Needless to say, it took a little over 3 hours. Normally, I don’t mind waiting a bit but the wait time was pretty long and the only time we got the servers attention is when we called for them. I just wanted to let you know that your servers might need a refresher in serving etiquette, I could see people getting frustrated and leaving...

Restaurant in a hockey arena. But don't let that turn you away. The service was local, friendly, and attentive. I was told the BBQ wings are to die for, so I went with that, and the maple spinach salad. The salad was remarkable. It was quite different from what I expected. It was creamy, sweet, and delicious. It could have actually been on the dessert menu! And since I'm not against ordering dessert first, I loved it. It was remarkable because it was simple - with spinach, apple, cranberry, almond, and maple sauce, but you couldn't really taste the spinach. It was the most healthy dessert I've ever had! The wings were tasty as well. A light breading, a sweet sauce, and cooked to a crunchy perfection. The meat was still moist and soft. I recommend...

Yes, it is in a community arena building, but you can get a very nice meal here, so don't be dissuaded by the location. Nice interior, recently renovated with nice decor, quiet and isolated from the arena sounds. The service is friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent, as good as any restaurant around. Not just arena food! A very good menu for lunch or supper. You can even get stak here or pan fried haddock. Our meal was very tasty and expertly prepared. I highly recommend it if you find yourself in Glace Bay, even if you are not at the complex...
