Went out for supper tonight with my mom and sister, our server wasn’t very friendly from the start. Ordered an appetizer with three meals, our food took almost 30 minutes to arrive (the restaurant wasn’t very busy) and our appetizer never came. I would have asked the server about it but she didn’t bother to come back and check on us. When our food arrived I let the blonde lady (not our server, she brought us our meals) know that we ordered an appetizer, told her what it was and she said she would go check. Our server came back 5 minutes later while we were eating our meals, no apology just said “your appetizer never came, do you still want it?” The only reason we said yes was because she said it would be taken care of. We got our appetizer when we were all basically finishing our meals, never once did this server ask how the food was or if she could get us anything else. Once we got the appetizer the blonde lady dropped it off again, and I reminded her again that we asked for dilly dip with the appetizer, she seemed annoyed and came back a few minutes later with it dropped it off at the table and walked away without another word even though my mom said thank you. Then some of your staff were looking over at us after as if we were causing problems. We got horrible service and were ignored almost the entire time we were there. I feel as if she was telling her coworkers how annoying we were to serve. I understand messing up and forgetting the appetizer but for two of your staff members to seem annoyed by us was uncalled for, we weren’t rude at all to the staff. Tonight the service was disappointing, and I was pretty upset by the time we left. No apologies at all for the missed appetizer, didn’t care to know if we enjoyed our food. I don’t usually leave reviews but I work in the service industry, and that was unfortunately some of the worst service I’ve experienced in Grande Prairie. My mom still left a tip too after being treated badly by some of your staff, and being stared at by others while they are talking making us all extremely uncomfortable. Won’t be back...
Read moreWe’re from out of town and wanted to go somewhere for a “nicer” type of dinner. We went around 7pm and the parking lot was packed full. When we got in, the couple in front of us who had just asked for a seat quickly decided to go elsewhere based off how busy it was. We were told they had a spot for us and brought us to a bar table with very high bar stools. I’m 5 foot and have a bad ankle so I asked if they had other seating that was lower (notable empty tables all over the restaurant) the gentleman said “no” and rolled his eyes. Our server took quite a while to come over to our table but when she did, we were pleased with her professionalism and friendliness. We ordered drinks from the bar and it took 15 minutes to get them (one being a beer off tap). We ordered appetizers and had to wait another 30 or so minutes for those to come- we didn’t even get half way through appies and our food arrived. The table wasn’t big enough for the appetizers and full meals so we had to eat quickly and awkwardly hold the smaller plates to make room for our large plates. The food was half hot and half cold. While the presentation was good; the asparagus was undercooked, almost left raw. The mashed potatoes weren’t anything to write home about and the Cajun chicken was underwhelming to say the least. Our server J’Lyn was incredible and very apologetic for the chaos and long wait times. We probably wouldn’t eat here again if we come into town. It was okay. J’Lyn made our night with her wonderful service...
Read moreMy family and I went for supper last night. I had been thinking about the chicken enchiladas all day, I had had then on two other occassions, as had my sister in law. The service was good, the food was disappointing, to say the least. I order them with no jalapenos, I like to enjoy my food with only a little heat. My niece and sister in law also ordered the enchiladas. After waiting for our meal for around 45 minutes, because the priority orders in this city are skip the dishes, not the people who go out to the restaurant. The enchiladas were nearly inedible for the amount of spice, so not at all worth the wait, they were not temperature hot, either. The main reason to go to the same restaurant is to get the same dish. We were told that some of the dishes weren't consistent. Why not, you are a franchise? My brother, who likes spicy food tried it and it was too hot for him, too. My nephew's fries were cold, when I mentioned it, the waitress offered to bring him more. How about telling the kitchen to send hot food the first time? The manager offered us free dessert as a resolution to a poor meal. Thanks, but no, that isn't a solution. I get tired of spending my money and not feeling like it was worth it. For the most part it was a poor meal, at least the service was good, that was the only shining point of...
