Today I went to this location to get Swiss Chalet. I placed my order and the cashier had nothing but attitude when I asked a question. I then went to fill up my drink and find a table, when another woman had already come out with my plate. I hadn’t even sat down yet. Every single table was filthy. I told her I would wipe the table myself. After that, I sat down and took a bite of my mashed potatoes, they were FREEZING cold. I do not have the patience for this as I work in food services, I know the standard. I got up and took my plate to the front, I told the attitude ridden cashier I wanted my money put back on the gift card I used. She began arguing with me, saying I couldn’t have the money put back on the card. I told her I wanted my money back in cash, a store credit or something to make up for this pathetic lunch. She continued arguing with me, so I argued right back. She would not cooperate and give me any form of compensation until I threatened to phone the police. She then told me to wait outside and she would bring me my money. I told her that wasn’t going to happen, so she threatened to call the police on me instead. Needless to say, this cashier is argumentative, ignorant, and overall completely unprofessional. Read moreSo, ordered online on June 7th 2020, at 8:30pm and pick up time said ready for 8:45pm. Get there and see a nice big young black family wandering around the drive thru as I pull up to park. These people looked they also have placed a order for their family and were there to pick it up, but they were just standing outside. Had to be a big order because they had two cars worth of people. I park and get out to go inside at 8:48pm now after waiting to see if they were waiting as well and the door was locked! I go back to my vehicle to double check my order online to see if it went through and yes it did. As I turn back to the store to double check the lights in the store go dark at 8:50pm. Upset because it seemed they had two big orders come through before you guys were even closed. Im not sure if they made it and now you guys are going to have a food cost issues. Or I swear if I find out that your employees were discriminating against that black family, and just decided they weren’t going to serve them, as it seemed they were waiting there, and searching to see if anyone was there for longer then we ordered our food at 8:30pm. Disappointed really. The balls to turn the lights off when you should have two whole orders that got punched in way before 9pm. You either lost a lot of customers and their money. Read moreSo we were on our way back from Quebec to Toronto. We decided to stop by at Harvey’s / Swiss Chalet. This was our first, only and possibly the last visit to any of their restaurants (franchises). I have not seen such an unprofessional staff so far. Our family consist of 3 people (2 adult and a 7 year old child). We kept standing at the counter for someone to come and assist us, there were 4 people in the staff area( 2 in the kitchen, one literally behind the counter just walking around and one standing in front of drive through window and occasionally coming towards the counter. We kept waiting for someone to come and assist, they looked at us and kept talking to each other about their days off and schedules. I thought they did not see us so I acknowledged by saying HELLO and EXCUSE ME. They looked at us and kept talking to each other and did not even bother to come and ask if we need any help. We kept standing there for 3-4 minutes and after seeing such an “amazing” customer service, we decided to leave and go to the KFC next door, which had an amazing and attentive customer service.
