Shameful Restaurant – Pure Exploitation! I had previously visited Okinawa Sushi on another occasion when I did a take-out with a friend, and the experience was decent. However, returning to the city and deciding to finally lunch in turned out to be an absolutely infuriating and exploitative experience. After placing my order, which ended up being larger than I could finish, I politely asked to take the leftover sushi with me. That’s when the nightmare began. The server, with a cold and dismissive attitude, told me I would need to pay an extra fee to take food I had ALREADY PAID FOR. Yes, you read that right: they wanted to charge me again for food that was already on my plate and paid for! The excuse? “It’s restaurant policy.” What a primitive and unethical policy! A total slap in the face to any customer. Never, anywhere, have I seen such an abusive and disrespectful practice. I had already paid for my meal—the absolute least any restaurant should do is allow me to take what is mine without attempting to squeeze more money out of me with pathetic excuses. The worst part? I made a point of paying for what I ate, and as furious as I was, I left the food there. Yes, I paid for something I didn’t even take home, simply because I refuse to be exploited twice by a restaurant that treats its customers like fools. This experience only highlights how low and unscrupulous this place truly is. I will never return, and I sincerely hope no one else has to endure this humiliation. The food is not worth it, the service is appalling, and the restaurant’s policy is outright robbery. Choose any other place to dine in the city, but avoid this establishment that goes out of its way to exploit and disrespect its customers. Avoid at all costs!

My experience: I've been twice so far. first almost two years ago and I must say the food quality has not changed a bit. It is still the most delicious fresh fish I've had. Cost wise definitely a better idea to dine in if you're going to order alot of food. About the charging for leftovers: And if you're seeing the negative reviews saying you have to pay for leftovers it's true however also stated in the menu. It is quite typical for sushi restaurants to charge you for leftovers even if you're taking it home as they don't know how much will end up in the waste. Alot of asian restaurants are very strict about this because they hate waste. If you don't wanna pay for waste order a little at a time when you dine in or don't go at all. Food recommendations: -spicy salmon roll (torched) -Mushroom and beef -salmon flower -Green dragon roll -Eel sushi -salmon sashimi -spicy salmon roll -everything on the menu lol

Visited on today for Mother's Day for the first time in several months and my daughter and I were very pleased with the food. Our favorite sushi restaurant recently closed and we have been quite dismayed as we have enjoyed going there a couple times a month for the past few years. We were delighted today however to find that the quality of food at Okinawa now surpasses that of our former regular restaurant. It looks like we have a new sushi hangout. Yay! The salmon and shrimp sushi were very nice, and the tempura shrimp were great. The taro chips were absolutely addictive (we had three servings), and the wonton soup was the nicest that I have ever eaten. The wontons were so flavorful! Bravo Okinawa! We will be seeing you again soon.

My partner and I have been coming here for the last few years. Until a couple weeks ago when we had a pretty rough time. A few items missing is fine, it happens, but over half our order simply never showed. Waiters seemed to ignore us, and after about 40 minutes service to our table came to an immediate halt despite us still waiting on multiple items, no one came to talk to us, or indicate that we needed to leave. We ended up giving up and getting our bill. Despite this we chalked it up to just one off night and full restaurant. So for my birthday we decided to give it a second chance, Monday night, not a full house, table for 2…..I’m extremely disappointed. In the first 30-40 minutes only 2 basic items made it to our table. We assumed correctly that the rest of our order had been forgotten or given to someone else, so we ordered a few things again. After another sizable wait finally a server came and gave us what we assumed was our food from our previous order, it matched the description , and despite the long wait we were happy to finally have food on our table. My partner had his already used chopsticks ON the food, when the waiter ran back over and took the food off our table, then shamelessly gave it to the table next to us… not only is that disgusting, it was rude and sent us over the edge. We waited 10 more to see if our last few items would arrive, after finishing what made it to the table we promptly got our bill ( best service we received all night ironically) and left. In total we ate 1 avocado roll, 1 calamari roll, 5-6 individual sushi pieces, a piece of shrimp tempura…and we ended up paying almost 90 dollars for it. Until we hear about so sizable change we will not be back. I unfortunately can no longer recommend...

Last night group of 5 of us went to have dinner. That was the first time for all of us, we entered around 8.20 and ordered appetisers and within few mins they came, the taste was awesome. Waiter came and informed that they are about to close the kitchen so asked us to order and we did. Few minutes later another person came and informed us that we ordered too many foods then we asked them to cancel other foods except sushi, he said ok and left. But waitress came and placing all the foods that we canceled and we explained her the situation happened but she doesn’t understand English and she said “take home take home “ but we didn’t touch those plates. Again the same person with whom we informed to cancel he came and initially he said no you guys didn’t asked me to cancel but later he accepted it and then he asked us to pay for the food which we didn’t even touched(asked him to cancel). They should guide the customers while ordering, because we are not here to waste the food and money. And a waitress came and telling us “ ok you guys eat everything we will wait until you finish your food (which we canceled) or they are asking us to pay” . It was our friend’s birthday party but we all had a terrible experience. If a customer wants to be your regular customer then you have to guide them (especially when you see other country people) they are coming to explore your food. Though food was good, apologies we...
