The food is good, atmosphere well it's on the side of the highway..service well it's a hit and miss. You're just a number... I wasn't aware there was a new owner but that explains why things are different. They also only accept cash. I know that most businesses that only accept cash is because they take in 50% of their profit instead of reporting it to the government, but while doing this because they want to save money and they are too cheap to pay for a debit/Visa machine for their clients that bring them so much business .it's very inconvenient for your customers to have to carry cash. In this day and age who carries cash. it's an inconvenience to go to the bank to go get money. So instead I encourage everyone to go just a little bit further to the next chip stand. Much better prices and a bigger menu!! They accept visa, debit and cash. Quick service and amazing food. I was craving a SAP poutine and pogo, last time there was before it sold. I am very disapointed with the outcome today, im not sure if the new owner was not prepared for the busy day but the fries were over done, gravy and cheese were ok, the pogo needed attention, this after waiting 35 minutes for the food. I think the new owner should reach out to the old owner and have her come in and asses the situation and give him some ideas on how to work ifitiently, there were at least 5 people working in the kitchen today. I have been at the Shack when the old owner had only 3 people working and i cant remember waiting more than 15 minutes for my food. As a long-standing customer, I am disappointed with the recent changes under the new ownership. The price increase of 20% for the poutine I usually order is significant, and the extended waiting time of over 30 minutes is unacceptable.
