We are on day 4 of a drive across Canada, and this is the only review I've felt compelled to write. We went through Longlac and stopped at Robin's on May 30th, approximately 6pm. There were two people working the counter in this mid sized sandwich/pizza type shop. We were polite and friendly with them despite their sighs and eye rolls. Both seemed overwhelmed while taking and making our order, which seemed odd, as it was their only order at the time, and the food we requested was uncomplicated (two sandwich combos, no special requests). However, they made no secret that they were both thoroughly inconvenienced by our presence. Two more people came in after us, and our order was put on hold while both of them took the new customers' orders. It seemed an inefficient system, but not really a big deal. When it was time to pay, they overcharged us by $8, and while my mother (politely) tried to figure it out with one worker, I caught the other rolling her eyes and making fun of us with one of the new customers (who she clearly knew). I'm not sure what we did to upset them, but I honestly dont think I've ever felt so unwelcome in an...
Read moreThe pizza was really good. As much as it makes delicious food, this place gave me a hard time. First the prices written on there are lower than they are now. I had to pay the double of the written price for my pizza. They don’t accept cards. They at least had an ATM but charged me $3 for the transaction. Also, about the two young ladies that served me tonight. Take one look at them and it gives an idea of how they treat customers and how they survive their jobs. They said, “Cash only, it’s written on the door” (with a “are-you-blind?” stare) AND “That’s our old prices” (with a “you-were-supposed-to-know-that” voice tone). I’m a tourist. As much as this was an uncomfortable experience, I feel bad for them working in a place that visibly needs better management. Not to mention, I waited about 20 minutes for my single size pizza to get ready. Things are outdated: the menu, the prices and the lack of a card machine. Things need to change for a tip to be...
Read moreThey have no debit machine, and only accept cash.
Of course they have a conveniently placed atm that charges you $2.50 to pull cash out.
This by itself is a scam.
Then on top of that, the prices ARE NOT CLEARLY WRITTEN.
Want chicken fingers? Prepare to pay $2.00 with tax for the sauce.
This place is a scam from start to finish, go anywhere else.
Complain at the counter? A snotty woman will come out and basically tell you to accept it or shove off.
NEVER eating at this ripoff Robin's again, even if I haven't...
