Update: These guys are wonderful and truly blew my mind with service. I left a negative review (read below) after receiving some bad orders and James, as well as the other staff, were unbelievably legit about reaching out and correcting things, in ways I never would've expected. I'm confident that the mistakes in my previous orders were mistakes and not something to expect. New fav local restaurant for sure, and I'm excited to try new things from them knowing I can trust the service. Though lets be real, the chicken parm kept me coming back either way 😂 Thank you guys!
Previous review: 2 stars I really want to like this place.. when they're good they're great. But I've ordered 3 times now and every time the food is completely different! Twice now with core parts of dishes completely missing. My chicken parmesan (that is supposed to be loaded with cheese) has no cheese on it at all... I ordered a sandwich the other day that was supposed to have red pepper, tomato, spinach, meat, cheese but it only came with the meat and cheese. My first meal was great, so I'm really disappointed at how outright lazy the next two have been. How can you forget the cheese on chicken parm? I liked my first meal but if 2/3 are this bad I don't think I can keep buying, even with the discounts I'm getting through...
Read moreI wish I could give even more than 5 stars! Pizza used to be a staple in my diet until I became gluten intolerant. I still follow pizza places on Instagram just to torture myself. Pizza Di Nonnas new owner has been lighting up social media lately as he’s truly listening to customers. Bringing in incredible ingredients, sourcing out the best of the best, halal friendly, stone baked, I mean pure perfection . But I still couldn’t eat it and just drooled when I ordered for my family . Then, he announced he was testing gluten free flour and my heart may have skipped. Today, I tried it. I’m literally getting emotional writing this. #lifechanging. I got to talk with James while waiting for my pizza to cook and this owner truly goes above and beyond in so many ways for his customers. The kitchen was SPOTLESS , the ingredients fresh, his customers clearly love this place. I know how hard it is to find and work with gluten free ingredients. Especially dough. It tasted , looked and felt like the BEST pizza, regardless of the fact it was gluten free. It was soft yet crunchy, the ingredients were soooo fresh, everything was beyond my expectations! Grimsby is soo lucky to have this...
Read moreWhere we live, we have super high quality, doe neaded, and built in front of you, unlimited toppings, proper pizza oven ready in 10 minutes, multiple base sauce/crust options made daily in house, for maximum $36 12" pizza... Pizza Di Nonna had best ratings around, so when my 12" pizza with basic crust and basic sauce, and nothing fancy(Pepperoni, salami, olives, onions, roasted red peppers) came to $40, I didn't blink too hard. Assumed it was going to be proper. The cashier was already kinda mouthy in response to basic questions, and a tip pushy payment interface in a venue with zero seating or washroom made me a little itchy, but we waited the disclaimed 30 minutes. And then a 17 year old told us that they burnt the pizza, "but we could have a free dipping sauce or pop" 😆. To be fully fair, the flavour of the burnt pizza still demonstrated some potential, the ingredients carried, but overall very disappointing for the top rated pizza place in this area. "It is what it...
