Formal Complaint Regarding Extremely Rude Staff Behavior at Your Location
Dear Tim Hortons Customer Service,
I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding an extremely unpleasant experience at one of your locations.
During our recent visit, we encountered significant issues while placing our order. My friend, who has limited English proficiency, initially tried to order but struggled to communicate clearly. I, sitting in the passenger seat, then attempted to assist with the order. However, likely due to the distance from the drive-thru speaker, our voices may not have been entirely clear.
What followed was unacceptable. The staff member taking our order—clearly a senior employee, whom we’ve encountered before—displayed a shockingly rude and arrogant attitude. In the past, we’ve noticed that this same person becomes visibly impatient when customers place large or complex orders, even rolling their eyes. Today, their behavior escalated: they frequently turned their back on us while speaking, used a dismissive tone, and repeatedly claimed they could not understand us, showing a total lack of patience or professionalism.
It was Canada Day—a day when we, like many others, were still working hard—and yet, instead of being treated with basic courtesy, we were met with hostility and disrespect. As regular customers who live nearby and used to come almost daily, this experience was deeply disappointing.
Going forward, I will be avoiding this location entirely and will not be returning. It is disgraceful for a brand like Tim Hortons, which prides itself on community and hospitality, to employ someone with such contemptuous behavior. I sincerely hope you take this matter seriously and take...
Read moreTerrible set up, you need to enter what is marked as the entrance to a hotel, the drive thru lane is extremely narrow, and just before you get to the menu to order; you need to make a 180° turn in a part on the lane that is about 20 feet long. It seems that everyone that goes through this drive thru, is constantly honking or yelling at the car in front of them or the one behind them. Because the STAFF got my order wrong (one medium tea - black with bag in, one Medium double double and one medium French vanilla cappuccino, I recieved a small tea bag out with cream, an extra large double double, and a medium iced cap) as I waited for my order to be corrected, and to give me money back since I overpaid, two cars behind me leaned on their horns the entire time. As I was taking my now correct order, I was asked again for my Tim's reward card, she said she had to void all three purchases, because it was too confusing to figure out what items qualified for the points card. Hearing the staff swearing is never professional. (Whatever, at this point I just want to leave) then you notice as you're pulling away, that 10 feet in front of you; connected to Tim's is a crosswalk. I'm sure many pedestrians have been hit. After all that it's time to navigate through a parking lot you never entered so you can get back on the road or highway. I have been avoiding this particular Tim Hortons for a...
Read moreOk so I frequent Tim Hortons all over Halifax on the daily depending on where my calls take me. The buck stops here.... I'm am finally thoroughly disgusted enough to leave a comment. The staff seem very polite and the service is respectively quite fast. There are a number of Tim Hortons that I am fed up with though including this one now with regards to my "First Sip of a new Coffee". What was the problem(s) with the taste at multiple locations now?? Well it's the perfume taste and aftertaste that is on the lid. It's literally enough to gag a maggot... I totally understand wanting to be clean, fresh, and well kept, but NOBODY wants that hygiene taste on their coffee lid. If so, they would take a drink straight from the perfume bottle, and we know nobody in their right mind would do that, so stop putting your hand cream or perfume all over your hands before you press down on a person's coffee lid. It's disgusting and leaves your tongue burning and it's literally a gastly flavor no one wants associated with their coffee. I was already in my travels and had to make a put stop at Larry Uteck Tim's to request a new lid. Smarten up, common...
