Okay let's start with the food. At least this time around, it was not great at all. My food was pretty cool, wish it could've been warmer. The fries were super hard; I was STABBING some of the fries and the fork wouldn't go through. Not all the fries, but quite a few. And the poutine I got just had a whole chunk of cheese on it. It was way to break apart the cheese, but I feel like I shouldn't really have to do that myself? I didn't care much about that though. Also from the photo as you can see, there was this one fry that was kinda green. The lighting of the photo may make it hard to tell, but you can definitely see that that's not a normal fry. Overall, the meal wasn't very appetizing. Could buy a bigger and better portion at Bistro for the same price.
Next, let's move on to the staff member I came across. The first cashier I paid at, i had no issues. Then I went back a bit from before the cashier area to go see my friend and to see if there were any plastic forks there since I couldn't find any. My friend told me to ask the cashier, so I politely asked if she had one. She asked if I paid already and I said yes, and she then asked "then where did you pay". I pointed at the cashier I paid at and then she was like "why didn't you ask that cashier when you paid then?" And I told her it was because I thought there would be forks for me somewhere else (the condiments table). I then walked away after getting the fork and she proceeded to ask the other cashier if I did pay. Yes, I understand that I probably shouldn't have went back in that other area where you order food, but I thought there might be forks near the fridges and stuff since I couldn't find any. And I understand her concern with students stealing food. However, the attitude she gave me when I was nothing but polite was so aggravating.
Definitely not the best place...
Read moreI'm writing this review mainly about the paramount store located at Centro. While the food is normally cooked well and the meat is fresh, serving sizes are inconsistent. For $12, the rice bowl with chicken is the meal I purchase most often. However, the amount of food I get varies depending on what employee it working that day. Sometimes I'll find myself with a full bowl filled to the brim, and other times there will be barely enough to fill half the bowl. Other than that, the food at paramount is quite good. While expensive, there is also a decent selection of juice and milk near the cashier area as well. In general I wish prices were a dollar or two cheaper throughout Centro but it is still one of the cheapest places on campus from...
Read moreHonestly I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s start with the big breakfast meal from taste of home. The eggs are fake and vey watery, the sausages come in very small portions and the pancakes breads are hard as a rock. The food is over priced, all the foods they sell are awful and the whole place is very unsanitary. Paramount is also highly overpriced, and I can’t believe that they managed to mess up chicken tenders(taste of home). Genuinely one of the most atrocious food options on campus, McMaster should be ashamed of themselves for providing students with this based on the fees they charge. On top of that Centro is the only place that serves food on campus is open on...
