Mountain Burger — Restaurant in Hamilton

Randomly found Mountain Burger today after asking google for restaurants near my mom's place. Mountain Burger was close and had good reviews so we decided to give it a try and we're glad we did. We walked in around 2pm and found the dining room empty and very clean with 8-10 double tables, so plenty of seating. Every table was clean and ready to use. Beyond the dining room was the counter and then open to the kitchen behind. Again, everything was clean.

We walked up to the counter and were quickly greeted by Jasmine who was very polite and offered to make suggestions when we said it was our first time.

I ordered the Mountain Classic Burger with no cheese and a gluten free bun. There was absolutely no issue with customization, which was nice because it's no always so easy. Gluten free buns can be dry but this one was lightly toasted and in combination with the juicy patty and the burger sauce it worked quite well. Jasmine didn't ask if my request for no cheese and gluten free bun was an allergy or preference as a lot of places will do but two hours after eating there i can confidently say there was no cross contamination. The burger itself was delicious with just the right amount of toppings. Nothing was overwhelming. Having said that my mom did feel there was too much of the mountain sauce on her burger so maybe that's a preference thing or maybe the fact that mine was gluten free balanced it out.

Let's not forget the fries. Real fresh cut fries with the skin on. These were crispy and salty and just perfect.

Our food was brought out to our table which is a nice touch for a burger place. And as we were finishing up Jasmine showed up with sample size servings of strawberry ice cream which my mom said was delicious.

This is easily the best burger I've had east of the GTA.

The beef patties are well seasoned with the perfect mix of beef cuts. Usually with some burgers, they either get dry as they cool down, or they're just way too thick and in turn dry out because they're too thick.

The buns are SO SOFT and fresh. Words cannot describe the quality of bun these guys used to pair with thier burgers. Unlike other burger spots, the buns are so airy that you don't fill up on the bun when eating - it's the perfect vehicle to eat these burgers. Honestly, so impressed and kudos to the owners for this.

The beef bacon used in these burgers make you not miss regular bacon. Trying other places that offer beef bacon, these are cooked so well that they stay juicy and give the saltiness that one would expect in pork bacon.

We came and tried the LA Smash burger, Rocky Burger, the poutine and the chicken strips.

LA Smash Burger: I was the onions and mountain sauce paired with the flavor of the patties made this Burger absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this Burger to anyone visiting for the first time, what a great first impression.

Rocky Burger: Unlike the LA Smash, this Burger has balsamic glazed onions, lettuce, tomatoes and bacon. Again, the flavors of the ingredients pop with the beef patties. The bacon gives the burger the saltiness it needs. Great mix of flavors.

Poutine: Gravy is so good! They were also able to make these poutines so cheesy. Great portion sizing. I was able to take it home and eat it again, and it was still good!

Overall I had an amazing experience at Mountain Burger. I was thoroughly impressed with the food and the great customer service I experienced. I will definitely be back. Very excited...

A Fantastic 👌 stumble-upon while travelling thru the area. Bang-on burgers that were a decent size coming in at 4.5oz/patty. Tasty & juicy. Clean & inviting decor & layout Super friendly, cheerful & very service-oriented staff esp 🙌Jordan🙌. She graciously welcomed us without hesitation with a cheery smile, upbeat attitude & very professional attitude. She exudes a true service-oriented mindset, explaining what the Mountain sauce was {imagine the 'DoubleArch' sauce with an ever slight zing of garlic🧄}, even brought our order tableside & came back to check on our order mid-meal. Jordan is just truly hospitable👌❗

My dining companion went for the LA Smash burger🍔 upgraded to a combo of Onion rings🧅 & iced tea while I opted for just the Hamont burger topped with their beef bacon minus the bun bcuz I just wanted The Beef😛 All were On-Point👌🙌❗

Piping hot, juicy, flavourful patties with just the perfect topping of Mountain sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and respective toppings.

Their beef bacon🥓 gave the perfect addition of 🌬smokey meaty goodness. The onion rings were clearly cooked in perfect-temp clean oil bcuz they weren't greasy & oily but rather delicate rings of sweet onions enveloped in their secret batter & cooked to a golden crisp perfection👌

LUV LUV LUV that they grind their meat in-house daily. LUV LUV they are Halal & have gluten-free options👌🙌

Need to return to try their chicken sandwiches, philly cheesesteak & dessert offerings.
