We opted to go here instead of the Timmies down the street and were glad we did.

The donuts were tasty and flavourful without being overly sweet. Also, the coffee was fresh and was likely the equivalent of a light to medium roast which is my preference. Although we didn't try them we saw the variety of freshly baked muffins they had (corn, chocolate chip, banana walnut, etc) and they looked huge!

The atmosphere inside the restaurant evoked some nostalgia as it reminded me of donut stores in the Hammer back in the 80s and 90s with the booths and front counter seating. They had a big oval table in particular that had the old style restaurant stools situated around it and we plopped ourselves around it while we enjoyed our donuts and drinks.

I had a chat with the owner's son and was happy to hear this was a family owned business for the last 36 years. I recall passing this donut store many times on the weekends back in the late 80s/early 90s on my way to the Parkdale Flea Market that was close by so I'm glad to see it has withstood the test of time.

Wishing the family...

Been going to this place since I was five years old and they're portion size has dropped In the last year It went from looking like you can sit there and feast to your heart's content to We're running out of food. For over 60.00 Would barely get any food on the plates. The coffee is great. The food quality itself, not so. Was once a great place. That I loved taking my family too Now it seems like just a waste of money. To the owner, I don't know how to respond to you because I don't really use the internet that much. Actually, this is the first time I've ever done a complaint on Google. As you can see in the pictures you guys put less and less hash Browns in there, especially for a person that spent over $60. I have to time. The eggs are running. And not over easy. But it's still a nice place. It's just the portion size are getting smaller and I don't know maybe I'm still used to the 2 old ladies that work in a bag that were completely awesome. The lady up front was very pleasant. Love her smile. Anyways, I anyways, I do not know how to contact...

EDIT: Was 3 stars now 5 stars, read on to find out why. Original review below, owner replied courteously to come back and get it rectified. I didn't take them up on the offer but just went randomly couple days later and service was still great.

ORIGINAL REVIEW Although donuts are actually decent quality and taste, I'm giving it a 3 star for the following reason:

There seems to be some employees with very bad attitudes. When I went in the morning, an older lady working there was very friendly when I bought some food.

Went back couple days later in the afternoon, and a black haired rather short lady with the most lackadaisical attitude I've ever seen. I asked for raised chocolate and she reached for a double chocolate donut. After I told her that was the wrong one and asked her for the correct one. I then had to tell her to TAKE OUT the wrong donuts from the bag before charging me.

Opened the bag, and lo and behold, it was another wrong donut again LOL. Was in a rush so didn't go back to change it but yeah, never coming in the...

First time here today, decided to sit inside, choose a booth. It's part donut shop and part restaurant (next time I'll try the food), this visit was about the coffee and donuts.. I wanted to try something different besides you know who.. so took the drive across the city to try It out. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service, and happy to find out they serve VEGAN donuts.. the sugar ring donut melted in my mouth, it was so fluffy .. and surprisingly not overly sweet .. my coffee was drinkable just wish it was a bit hotter, I got almond milk in it and most small shops don't carry it. As a first visit I'm happy with everything. DEFINITELY will return and I'm gonna try the Carrot Muffin next time as its 2xs the size of the 'other guys".. can actually see the Carrot in it .. Jimmy also introduced himself, it was nice to enjoy a coffee/donut with pleasant conversation. I recommend ppl give it a try.

I stumbled into this donut shop recently, seeking relief from the usual over-sweetened, frilly-cuffed establishments, where baristas ask too many questions and serve coffee that tastes like melted birthday candles. This place was different. Classic. Retro. The smell of fresh, honest coffee hit me like a freight train, reminding me why humanity hasn’t yet fallen to ruin. They don't mess around with nonsense. No "caramel drizzle" or "unicorn foam" here—just a steaming cup of the real stuff, black as midnight and just as mysterious. The vibe? Oh, it's cool. Cooler than it has any right to be. People seem to know they’ve discovered a hidden gem, and they sit in a zen-like calm, savoring their donuts as if they were the last donuts left on Earth. The donuts themselves? Perfectly round, golden halos of dough. Simple, delicious, not burdened with excess, much like the coffee. Check it out.
