A&W Canada — Restaurant in Hamlet of Grande Cache

Stopped here on the way from Jasper to Grande Prairie, never again. It was 18 outside and so cold inside the staff had their coats on. We decided to get our food and eat in our car. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with extra pickles, get to the car its a chicken burger, ok not a big deal. We go back inside to get the right burger. Staff member was demanding to see another customers receipt saying he didnt pay. There must be an issue with their debit machine as it declined the first time on us as well as 2 other guests. When we get my burger we take one bite of the poutine and find a hair, so we have them remake this as well. My burger was cold and paper thin. Never again will we stop here. Horrible experience all around. Another customer said his sweet potato fries were horrible, he threw them all away. Management needs to make some serious changes...

If you're getting drive thru you will be parked alot of the time . I worked here in the past and I know the reason being is that there is a time limit. With this a&w you must understand they are expected to compete with other bigger cities in alberta. Being a small hamlet in grande cache , I found the issue was that there. Just isn't enough customers to have the consistency as other a&w near by where their food is consumed alot more. So they don't run into the issue of wasting as much product because it's bought before it times out and such. Where as here. You'll be waiting for a extra 10 minutes or more but atleast your food Is guarentee to be fresh... if you're an impatient person may not be the place for you but if you vale food quality and don't mind waiting. I suggest this place. 100%...

I was in the Grande Cache location today and ot was absolutely terrible. Place was dirty, crumbs and food on pretty much every empty table and the place was not busy... only 2 other tables had people. The service was poor, the fries were old (and we were there at 1:00 pm), pop was flat and it was not happily replaced....worst of all was the bathroom, I have done lots of traveling throughout the past 10 years and I think this has been the worst I've seen. I will not EVER go back in there. A&W as a company should be embarrassed to have their name attached to such a dirty, yucky place with staff as uncaring as what those ones obviously are. This is the Grande Cache location that I am talking about. If I could give a negative star it would be a negative 5 at...
