Subway — Restaurant in Hamlet of Grande Cache

In the evening if you're craving a healthier food option there aren't many places to go in town. Tried my luck with the Jerk Spiced Chicken Rice Bowl. Load it up with veggies and it does the trick. The store is updated and looked clean all around. Even near closing time the ingredients all looked fresh and good quality.

The staff member explained they don't take coupons because they're a rural location and have higher delivery costs which makes perfect sense - this location is 90 minutes from Hinton and a long drive for any delivery. They do accept the app rewards points though.

My only issue was the exterior windows looked pretty dirty and that makes it look grimey until you step inside. Cleaning those...

The food was okay. It was a very good sandwich, when I went to the till and asked for my "$2 off footlong" because it was sandwich month as advertised on TV. The lady said there was no such thing and didn't honour the promotion. I want to know if there is false advertising, or if the stores are unaware of the promotions, or if the Subway in Grande Cache just doesn't care about following the advertisements. Subs were good but pricey for what you got (small portions of meat, $4 charge or adding pizza sauce to a sub - no meat, just sauce). Staff didn't seem to know what went on the new subs, they had a cheat sheet though.
