Second time here, remembering it was good but this time it was okay! I got the loaded omelette with sausage and grilled hash browns, price was $21. Fair price for what you get, massive portion. My issue with it was the peppers, onions, and mushrooms were unfortunately not cooked in the omelette. It seems like they were just placed as toppings and folded, it was really odd to eat because they were so crunchy in the bites. I only ate half because the onion was raw and strong flavoured. Same thing for the hash browns, the onion in it was 100% not cooked, it was white and sprinkled. I donât know if it was dropped by mistake on it or what happened. The other thing was the sausage was only in two bites at the beginning and end (like placed at the ends so it was deceiving thinking there was sausage inside- there was not). I could be just nit picky and no I do not discourage you from coming here because the quality is there and it is fresh. I just did not like my dish, could have picked a better item maybe. Try it for yourself. The person that was with me enjoyed their meal so I bet it was just a bad choice or a...
Read moreHad lunch today at Porter's for the first time. Service was fast, food came in a timely manner and our servers was pleasant and friendly. We had the Fish & Chips special and a Bacon Cheeseburger platter. Fish was excellent, nice thin, crispy coating on a large portion of haddock. Burger was cooked properly and topped with crisp bacon and lots of cheddar cheese. I asked our Server about the turkey soup I noticed at a table nearby as it looked delicious, full of big chunks of veggies and made with real turkey, roasted and prepared on site. Served with two large slices of fresh, homemade bread, it looked to be a very satisfying meal. On settling our bill we were presented with a takeout container of soup, enough for two, to try at home. Delicious! We will definitely plan on returning to try some of the other...
Read moreStopped in for breakfast at this local diner and was pleasantly surprised. You can choose between a booth or table, and the vibe is very much "home-cooked meal" comfort. I ordered two eggs with toast and added a pancake on the side. Both the bread and pancake were homemade â a nice touch that you donât find everywhere. When they say â2 eggs & toast,â thatâs exactly what you get â no potatoes or extras, which was a bit unexpected (and kind of funny đ ). The only downside? They charge $3.25 for a cup of coffee, which feels a bit steep for a breakfast spot. What looked like a reasonably priced meal ended up costing $19.46 before tip. The decor is fun and original â everything is themed around cars, which adds some charm to the place. Overall, itâs a cozy local spot with solid food, just be ready for that...
