Wooden Nickel Saloon — Restaurant in Indian Head

Went to take my family out for dinner here this past Sunday Oct 15th, 2023. When we got here, it was only about 5pm and the family (restaurant side) was already closed. We then waited about 5 mins when we were finally acknowledged and then told to pick out a table. We picked out a table only to be told that we cannot sit in that area as that area was for adults (Bar section) and was told to move to a different table. Start with the good. Server was very pleasant and attentive when needed, food was decent, portions are very good, became very busy over lunch time with locals, always a good sign. Pizza was good, nachos were huge and full of toppings throughout.

The bad. Price! $60+ for a 13" all dressed pizza, 1 order of nachos, and 3 iced tea. Should have been two but no free refills, you pay full price again for a another drink, and these are fountain drinks, not cans or bottles.

Excellent place to stop. Food was delicious and served hot and fresh. Staff was friendly and professional. The young lady tending the bar, Anastasia, was friendly, courteous and quite knowledgeable in her bar tending duties. I very much enjoyed my visit here and I highly recommend this bar.
