I was quite disappointed with the service and the food here. My friends and I went here after a long day. Our server was Krista and by far was the WORST server I have ever had. She didn't come to check on us to make sure that we were enjoying our food. When one of us asked for some extra sauce she gave a dirty look and took forever to bring them. My boyfriend ordered another basket of wings as he was still hungry after eating 3 baskets (the wings were not filling at all) and when Krista brought them over, she actually threw them on the table in front of him and walked away. We only got two refills for our drinks because she didn't come back to check on us (and no, it was not busy). My glass was completely filled with ice and my pop just filled in the empty space. Considering you have to buy a beverage to get the deal for the wings, I find this very disappointing and upsetting. We said our "pleases" and "thank-you's" and she never responded with "no problem" or "you're welcome;" she would just walk away (and no we weren't quiet). Because she never really came around our table, when she was looking at the back directly towards us I tried waving her over. She made eye contact with myself and the rest of the people at our table and yet she still did not come over. When she went to serve the other table near us, she tried avoiding us at all costs. At the very end, she messed up our bills and gave the bill that was meant for my two friends, to my boyfriend and I, and the bill that was meant for my boyfriend and I, to my two friends. On top of that, she didn't even put the right food items in each bill. Our table was very polite and pleasant to her, yet she was super rude towards us. The wings were not very good either as there was very little dry rub or sauce on them, and again, they were...
Read morePogue Mahone has in my opinion, beautiful decor ambianced with a light and fun atmosphere. ALL of the staff I encountered and interacted with were friendly, courteous, easy to talk to. They knew their jobs and got them done in a timely manner. I loved the level of pride in what they did with an aire of sophistication. It was obvious they enjoy their jobs and in a world where conscientious employees seem to be a thing of the past, I found that quite refreshing. All of this while keeping things light and friendly. It was just what I needed after not having been out much for quite a while. The Honey garlic wings are exquisite and reasonably priced if you stay and enjoy them in the care of their wonderful staff. If you like wings, don't miss out on that. As someone who remembers drinking 25 cent glasses of draft, I don't suppose I'll ever get used to paying $5 for a beer but, that's how it is everywhere now I guess. All in all, for me at least, it was an experience I'd definitely like to repeat and absolutely recommend. Thank you Pogue Mahone and staff. It had been far too long. ...
Read moreAfter several mediocre and lackluster experiences, my partner and I planned to give the pub another shot. Before we made it there however it was brought to our attention on a Facebook review that someone had been pretty much told to leave because they were not ordering alcohol. Knowing there is two sides to every story I read some of the reviews to see if anyone had the same experience. Although I did not find any, I noticed that a majority of the negative reviews are followed up with a passive aggressive "I'm right, you're wrong" reply from the owner (or Whoever this Rob is) Seems he's more interested in stroking his own ego than improving his business. I wouldn't necessarily say avoid this place but to be honest there are many places where you can have a better meal and dining experience...
