Not safe to eat here if you are pregnant. Ordered the chicken and it was served completely cold along with the beans and Mac and cheese. The coleslaw was also brown. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize the chicken was cold and took a bite. I’m 9 months pregnant so not good. I called to try to find out when the meat was cooked and the manager was demeaning and trying to convince me that it’s fine to eat cold chicken. Unfortunately, no it’s not safe to eat cold meat when you are pregnant a simple google search could tell you that. It wasn’t until after, that I looked at the reviews and serving cold food seems to be a common issue here.
Edit to reply to comment: I didn’t make this review to make you mad and I wasn’t mad either just very concerned about the health of my baby. I’m sorry you are so offended but I just felt that people, particularly pregnant women, should be aware of the listeria risk. Smoked meat isn’t an issue unless it’s raw like smoked salmon.
I was not lying when i said that my sides were cold too. I just didn't mention it when i called the owner because it wasn’t as much of a concern. The only reason I called was to find out when the meat had been cooked because, like I said, I was very worried. However, the owner was very argumentative when I called. Clearly had no regard for the health and safety of his customers.
The reason I didn’t want to eat buffet food is because it’s not recommended for pregnant women either. I didn’t know it was such an inconvenience to get fresh food made but I would have rather just gone somewhere else than be a pain by ordering off the menu all I did was ask if I could order off the menu. They could have just said no.
I didn’t ask for the food to be reheated because I no longer felt safe to eat there. Which isn’t a big issue to me. I was just going to grab food from somewhere else.
Finally, i did not take or ask to take any food home. Thats just a...
Read moreHi Shawn, I just wanted to express our gratitude on behalf of Hope, Lane, Scott and I. Your food was an absolute hit at our wedding! Every one of our guests let us know how much they loved your food.
Not only that however; I want to thank you and your staff personally for your amazing service. You have no idea the peace of mind you gave me/us when you just simply did your part to make everything go smoothly for our reception without me or anyone having to direct you. The food was delicious and still warm “one of my big concerns” and an amazing variety that pleased everyone. I did see you stick around to assist with dealing with the leftovers and again want you to know I feel you went above and beyond and absolutely came through with your promises.
Your expertise on the recommended amount of food that would work for 100 guests was bang on! Hope and Lane were thrilled to have “just the right amount “ of leftovers that they gladly took home.
If you ever need a reference for any future clients feel free to give them my contact information! I look forward to coming to your restaurant in future and will always recommend you to anyone looking for a wonderful caterer, great value, service, integrity and overall perfection!
With sincere regards Lindina (no longer Momzilla) just a happy mom with...
Read moreI had The Sider meal (I believe that’s what it was called). When first walking in the music was so loud but luckily there was a quieter corner. Our server, who was very friendly, told us it would take “exactly 12 minutes”, 22 minutes later our food arrives and we’re the only table in the restaurant. The mac and cheese was cold and frankly tasted like one of those pre-made big tubs of Mac and cheese with garlic powder sprinklered on it. The brisket was so over cooked it was turning to mush. The coleslaw was incredibly under dressed and had massive chunks of stock in it. The chicken was under seasoned but moist. The cornbread was cold but decent. I’ll give you some props for the Costco style fries and the beans. But please get rid of the paper that sits between the tray and the food, or invest in a higher quality paper that isn’t going to rip and stick to my food. It was impossible to pick off with that useless cutlery. I’ve never used a fork that didn’t want to “fork” before. Upon leaving and paying at the front, the music was so loud that we couldn’t hear the total or what the server was saying to us. But we wished her a good day as well hoping that was the correct response. Overall an incredibly underwhelming experience and I do not...
