Being in wine country, the options for venues are almost endless and the competition stakes run high. DunnEnzies caught in the midst of wine country, may appear to be a typical restaurant in passing, but has so much more to offer than meets the eye. I don't know where to begin singing the praises of DunnEnzies and all of their incredible, dedicated, hard working staff. My husband and I had our eye on DunnEnzies for years as a venue for when we decided to tie the knot. I mean we had no plan B, no second option. It had to be DunnEnzies or nothing. If you've ever sat outside on their terrace for dinner or drinks, you understand why. Not only are you sitting beneath a beautiful tree with hanging lights, but the food and drinks are incredible, and some of the best service you will find.
My husband and I had our wedding at DunnEnzies Lower Mission earlier this summer, and are still in awe over how perfect the day was. Over months of communication with their events coordinator, we planned the perfect low-key, intimate wedding. Karyn, one of the restaurant owners, met with us to ensure that our vision was captured for the day of, and coordinated it with all her staff. I know people talk about how stressful the lead up to the wedding was and the day of, but Karyn and her team made it so easy to relax and enjoy the day to the fullest. Trusting someone to bring to life your vision of your wedding day is a big ask, and is hard to trust that someone will envision the day through your eyes. Karyn and her team absolutely nailed our wedding day down to all the minute details. They took every detail that my husband and I had envisioned, and gave it life. Karyn and her team went above and beyond to make our day what it was. They truly were the key part in why our day was as wonderful as it was.
I have never witnessed staff that care so much. You would have sworn that they were an extension of our families. You could feel how much the staff cared about making our day seamless and being attentive to not only our needs, but the needs of all our guests. Servers were constantly waiting on tables, ensuring that all our guests were taken care of. Management was seeing the night through as every event took place. The chef came to check in and make sure that we were completely satisfied with our meal. The entire staff was there to greet us as we made our way down the aisle to be married, watch as we had our first dance, and cheer us on throughout the duration of the day, as if we were part of their family.
If you're looking for an intimate wedding or celebration, or just an evening out, with delicious food, and incredible staff, then I would highly recommend DunnEnzies. Again, I do not have enough words to praise them and each member of their staff. My husband and I could not have dreamt of a better venue to have trusted with our...
Read moreHad a bad experience here yesterday. We waited 25 minutes before asking the hostess where our server was, the manager showed up and kindly took our orders for her but she never showed up to provide us drinks so eventually I think the manager brought them. Unfortunately we had also asked about the spice level of the "hot as hell" wings and we're told they weren't very spicy so we all ordered them. They were extremely spicy, on the level nearing the bobby wing at wings which you have to sign a waiver for that I've had. Me and our Korean friend who puts spice on everything struggled with it and are both capable of handling very hot foods. They were great flavor but it was misrepresented. Our "server" didn't actually serve us anything except our bills and a bit of passive aggression. A different employee brought us our almost cold left at the pass soggy wings, at least that was covered by how spicy they were, and when we mentioned that the wings were super hot as our server was passing by she said something to the effect of "haha read the warnings" (which I realize it says hot as hell, but frankly every place has that kind of marketing and we were told they weren't very hot). Anyway, some of the worst service I've ever had, one of our group didn't tip for the 3rd time in their life. Oh sidenote the server never even acknowledged the wait or...
Read moreI opted for the beef dip, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing. The beef was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the rich au jus that was served on the side. The bread was crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, making each bite an absolute delight. It’s a dish that’s hearty and satisfying, and I would go back just for this alone.
My boyfriend went for the donair, and while it didn’t quite hit the same high notes as the beef dip, it was still a solid choice. The donair had a decent amount of filling, with the right balance of spiced meat and fresh vegetables, all wrapped in a warm, soft pita. The sauce could have had a bit more zing, but overall, it was a good option for those who enjoy a more classic, straightforward meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant added to the experience, with a relaxed, family-friendly vibe that made us feel right at home. The service was attentive without being overbearing.
