Okay, so it really takes a lot for me to go out of my way and take time out of my own life to write a review for anything, let alone a McDonalds... This location is the fastest and easiest place for me to reach coming or going from my house. Being out of reach for most deliveries, it was a quick solution for me. However since opening, I’ve gone to this “restaurant” dozens of times and I can count on one hand the amount of times my order has actually been correct. The odd time I’m in and out with my food within 5 minutes, but 75% of time I’ll be waiting 10-15 minutes on average, and even up to 20+ to likely receive the wrong order again and again. From wrong wraps with mould or missing ingredients to wrong burgers built literally upside down and don’t even bother trying to order a smoothie as you’ll never get the right one. Going here anytime close to closing will land you with stale food and a milkshake that ran out of mix in the machine. Now all of this aside, I still continued going here hoping things would eventually get better, but after my last experience, I will not be returning. They had an East Indian lady running the drive through that took my order. Her accent was so strong that I could not understand her, and she could clearly not understand me. I had to repeat myself twice on every item. So after a few agonizing minutes of trying to sort that out, I pull up to the next window. This nice young man reads me back the order and over half of it is incorrect. I suspected as much as the total of my order was less than anticipated. So he kindly re-does the entire order for me (seemingly like he’s had to do this multiple times today). So I pay and roll up to the next window. By this time I have likely spent nearly 10 minutes in the drive through. Now someone comes to the window saying the payment did not go through and I will have to pay again. I asked to see my receipt and they said it did not print because the payment did not go through. Well that’s just incorrect so I asked them to get the manager. The manager got the receipt for me and it clearly says that it was paid. After another few minutes of investigating they determined it was their own screen that was wrong, not my payment. So now I’ve spent upwards of 15 minutes in the drive through nearly being charged twice for an order that they couldn’t get correct. So I now roll up to the third and final window where I’m told to wait for my food. Well I sit there for another 10 minutes before someone comes and asks me what order I’m waiting for. Turns out they completely lost the order when messing around trying to figure out my payment... at this point 8 cars have gone around me while I’m still sitting there waiting for my order. Finally it arrives. Can you guess what’s in the bag? Well if you guessed the wrong food, you would be correct. My girlfriend received the completely wrong wrap and my smoothie was both wrong in flavour and lacking the protein which I had paid extra for. I don’t know what has systemically gone wrong with this mcdonalds, but it seems that every step of the process has gone wrong here. On multiple occasions, have had orders been forgotten, been wrong, wrong size, etc.
On our most recent trip, used the touch screens to order a breakfast for two. Got our order all set, then used the “pay cash at counter” option once we were done. The till was out of paper, and thus did not print a receipt (which we have had happen MANY times at this location!). When we went to the till to pay, they had not gotten the order and because we didn’t have a receipt, could not find it.
We then had to order everything again, with the person running the till not seeming to understand anything, nor how a “meal” works at all. It took a long time and multiple explanations of what we wanted, when it was a very simple order. When we got home, found that the sausage egg McMuffin we had ordered had become just an egg McMuffin, and we somehow got a bottle of milk too. I don’t know how the milk happened as we had only ordered a black coffee and an iced coffee.
At this point we don’t care, so we start eating. It is at this point that my girlfriend finds a LOT of eggshell pieces in her egg mcmuffin( the one she didn’t even order). I have no idea how they have managed to completely butcher such a simple process, and this is only one of their failings in a long and consistent line of issues with this location. I have no idea what is going wrong, but a lot of people need to be replaced or retrained, as it seems the entirety of the staff from the managers to the counter staff, to the kitchen staff are wholly incompetent at a task that has been repeated to my satisfaction dozens of times over my years of eating there.
Slow, disorganized, service with poor communication. Awful at refilling receipt paper in the self-checkout kiosks. Awful at understanding orders. Awful cooking skills, overall an absolutely 0/10 experience, and by far a consistently horrible experience over multiple visits to this location. Read moreThere was 4 of us so we used a coupon on the app and opted to utilize curbside delivery to get our food. The coupon was 4 can dine for whatever denomination; the choices being filet-o-fish, mcchicken, spicy mcchicken, big Mac or quarter pounder with and without cheese. We tallied up everyone's likes and wanted two quarter pounders, and 2 mcchicken but one spicy. Get right to the end of ordering the 4 meals and it's telling us one of the two quarter pounders isn't available at our location. Not both, just one. No matter what we did, we could only get one quarter pounder. It was so strange and frustrating! In the end we ordered a third mcchicken but why would this happen? It's not as if they've run out of patties. We could order it on its own in a 2nd separate order as well, so it makes zero sense! This McDonald's is notoriously slow, to the degree of being forgotten for over half an hour at night once by one of the managers. I was livid! Couldn't get the guys attention to save my life so I eventually got mad enough that I laid on the horn until he got sick of listening to it and came to the window all rude asking me if he could help me. Damn rights, I'd like my food I paid for 45 mins ago, like come on. 🙄 but despite the app weirdness, on this visit they were quick and actually got everything right which was awesome. Went inside for a couple of cones after and had to wait 13 minutes (yup I timed) just to get someone to come to the till and then another 10 to get the 2 cones.. But they were so good!
