Well, what can I say...? Our second meal here. First was about 2 years ago and we were wowed. Tonight not so much, except for the amazing table next to us - they bought us a round of drink as it was our anniversary. The quality has certainly dropped since first time going. But the prices have soared. $300 for 2 of us. I had the filet mignon. Was undercooked, almost blue, ordered medium rare. My app was the shrimp and hubby's was the calamari - which I must add is WAY SUPERIOR at a more reasonable price at Jose's. The calamari had a corn meal batter extremely cheap and terrible honestly and served with cocktail sauce!! Not what you would expect from a place like this. The Cesar salad was ok but seemed to have the hard cheap bacon bits that were upsold to us as something fancy. Hubby was upset as to the amount of food on his plate, one piece of cold broccoli and a small potato with his $80 rib eye that he brought home and I doubt he'll eat as he said it tasted really fishy. Clearly they don't clean their pans or use new pans between fish and steak. Their special tonight was the coho salmon so I'd imagine there were a few fishies already in that pan. The drinks were nothing special. I ordered the premium Cesar costing $18 and honestly was more wowed again at Jose's. They at least gave me celery. The serving staff was kind and helpful. Pack a pillow and tent because you'll be there for a while... I went there with my fiance for our anniversary. Initially all was good. We got some appies and wine. I asked for merlot but they don't have any... I settled for some cab. The appies were okay, but very small portions. Then some how another hour goes by and we still didn't have our course. The people beside us sat down after us and were already eating and finished... the server came out and apologized and said our food was being plated at the moment... another 20 mins went by... I had to flag down another server to get more wine as ours forgot about us. The server for the couple beside use came to them 3 times before ours made an appearance. She was polite but had no interest in conversation, and also forgot our wine. It was almost 2 hours by the time we saw our plates from the time we sat down... Heard it was slow but wanted to try it out... I complained to the waitress and she said the kitchen staff would "make it up to us next time" yet they didnt take our names or give us a card or anything. I have no interest to return even so.
