Gimmi-Wun — Restaurant in Kirkland Lake

Now, this place is a hidden gem! The place itself is snug and cozy and relatively close to the cooking area, of which the smells of all the food will definitely make your appetite grow.

The food itself is superb, my favourite was The Burger Wrap with Doritos! It doesn't come with veggies by default, so it's a great treat for picky eaters. The gravy on the poutine was thick and rich and not waterboarded with seasoning salt like some other places. The owner mentioned he had been working hard to get it right, and it shows!

The quintessential hole in the wall. There were two tables for eating in, beside the counter right behind which they were making food. They were out of several menu items due to truck delays. The proprietors are very quiet. We could see them working the whole time. However, they checked in several times on our satisfaction with the food, corrected an oversight in the order for free, and the food was absolutely delicious. DAAAAAMN!!!! 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌 Came to kirkland lake for work. Had to stay over night in a hotel. No one could give me any recommendations for good food in town. Tired of the usual food chains. Decided to take a gamble on gimmi-wun and my god did i ever hit the jackpot.

I ordered a medium size fring poutine (Onion rings and fries omg 💦💦) the cheese. Gravy. Fries. Rings were all on point and it was also generous portions.

The cook was kind and friendly. The kitchen and dining area was nice and clean. Got my food in less than 5mins. Very impressed!! Next time i come back to KL for work stopping at gimmi-wun will be an...
