Since moving back to the K-W area, I was hoping to find a really good bagel shop (ala Montreal, Toronto or "Finagle a Bagel" in Boston) :) The ONLY reason that I'm not giving this amazing hole-in-the-wall place 5 stars is the limited selection. Their Sesame Seed bagels are absolutely awesome!!! This was just my first trip - next time I'll get some of the plain and poppy seed bagels.

(really wish they had onion, garlic and everything bagels!!!)

If you have multiple people in your household, you need to get at least a dozen. These are fresh, out of the oven within the last few hours - you're going to need to have one fresh with just a little butter while you wait for the next one to toast and get slathered in cream cheese. :)

And only $6.50 for a dozen bagels?! How?! :) Simply amazing!! Going to have to show some restraint and not go there several times a week!! :)

Oh, they also do whole wheat bagels - but I think she said that you need to order...

This is how bagels should be. If you seek a fluffy bagel-shaped bun, maybe look elsewhere because these are proper Montreal style bagels. I only know one other place around here with bagels this good, but it's more expensive. They are fresh so the shelf life is only a few days, so slice them in half and freeze them, to toast later! The store might be unattractive, but this place is certainly as clean or cleaner than your average bakery. You're not eating off the floor, people! Bare bones business that does one thing, and does it right. 👍👍 Also if you read the review from the ignorant man who claims his ignorant wife was "treated badly", know that the baker is foreign and she is not being rude at all. She is...

absolutely delicious Montreal style bagels fresh from the oven. For those who complain about the woman behind the counter, please keep in mind that she's a one woman show standing in front of a fire hours before you even show up, perhaps she needs to rush you because she has bagels in the oven... perhaps she doesn't speak English terribly well, perhaps she is having a long hard day. sometimes she can be abrupt and she doesn't speak a lot but she is kind, and if you are patient and polite and don't have the cash on hand she juuuust might hand you your bagels anyway. That's karma. I always tell her how much I appreciate...

OMG. I have lived in KW for about 4 yrs and reviewed quite a few places. Nothing has stopped me dead in my tracks like Wood Fired Bagels. Just looked up bagel shops on a whim and this came up. Mind blown. Simple, delicious straight out the bag bagels. Has to be the most perfect simple comfort food I have had in as long as I can remember. If you want to experience some outstanding local cuisine but don't know where to start....start here.

No frills location with fresh bagels, usually offering 3-4 types (sesame, poppyseed, plain, raisin) until they run out. Cash only. You can eat these bagels straight out of the bag on their own or, if you can wait to get home, load them up. A personal favorite for sesame seed and poppyseed bagels in KW

Our family love this Montreal style fire wood bagel for 20 yrs. Tasty and chewy and every bagel has different flavours. I froze the left over bagels and toasted them later and they still taste so good. I like to say thanks to lady who keeps making these fire wood bagels for many years.
