Les Délices de Thaïlande — Restaurant in Lévis

I visited this restaurant since it has such great reviews on Google.

The inside of the restaurant is pleasant. It is well decorated and they have a few tables that can offer extended seating (8+ people) The servers are polite and we'll mannered.

I thought the food was ok. I've been to Thai restaurants in Montreal and Toronto, so perhaps I'm setting the benchmark too high. The food was favourable and you can definitely taste the ingredients that they use. It was a clean tasting experience, but I think the dishes we ordered fell short on flavour. The peanut chicken was good, but a few people said that they wish the sauce was a bit thicker. I had a spicy tofu dish which could have used a tad more heat and my wife ordered a stir fry dish that lacked some flavour.

Overall, nice staff...

Definitely among the nicest restaurants in the city. Food is authentic and delicious, the service is truly outstanding and the ambiance is really cozy!

Although, I did have one tiny negative comment about the Tom Kha Kai; it was really heavy on the fish sauce, but other than that everything was impeccable!

And it would be nice if the staff asked if we wanted our dishes spicy or not; it's mentioned on the menu to ask for your desired heat level but I forgot when it was time to order and I got a dish that was not to my desired heat level,...

ATTENTION Venez avec 10 $ minimum de pourboire pour un service inexistant. La nourriture est Bonne comme une dizaine d autre bien plus abordable mais dommage que le patron ou le serveur asiatique en fermeture soit irrespectueux. Je ne suis pas canadienne et il m à attrape à la porte pour me dire que j’étais une personne très INCORRECTE en tenant mon ticket de carte d un air repoussant que le pourboire était bas pour « le service rendu» tout ça d un ton hautain et méprisant. (servir des plats commandé avec de l attente pour passer commande n a rien d un service c est la base d un restaurant). Je lui ai donc demandé combien il voulait avoir étant étrangère et voyant qu il voulait beaucoup plus IL A EU LE CULOT DE ME RÉPONDRE non mais comme ce n es pas obligatoire ce n est pas correct de demander au client. Mon ami lui a donc donné 5 dollars de plus et Je lui ai répondu qu il était donc incorrect de poursuivre un client a sa sortie pour exiger de donner PLUS et cela en le traitant de mauvaise personne.

Je ne connaissais pas la politique du pourboire à 15 % au Canada je me suis renseigné après mais cela a laissé une très mauvaise image de ce restaurant. Il m aurait gentiment demandé ou suggéré je lui aurais donné même plus et j aurai appris quelque chose sur le Canada. Je ne remettrai plus les pieds ici pour moi le respect est important un client peut vous donner peu un jour et beaucoup un autre selon ses moyens. C est inacceptable qu un homme comme ça parle de ce qui est correct ou non quand il n a même pas de savoir faire et être. L argent n est pas un problème quand on est bien...
