TLDR: TERRIBLE service, expensive prices for mediocre food.
Came in for dinner as a group of 8 and had one of the worst dining experiences. We are not hard to please people and we really don’t like to complain but the series of mistakes that occurred are ridiculous to the point of comical. The waiter forgot one of our drink orders. He offered the table bread that he never brought. He offered to bring an ice bucket for our bottle of wine, that never came. We asked to replace a dirty fork and was never brought a new one. The menu had a lamb dish for 2 as well as a smaller dish for one. We specified we wanted the lamb dish for 2 multiple times while the waiter was taking our order. We got the lamb for 1. He never offered to bring us the lamb for 2 but offered a steak instead, fine. 3/4 steaks for the table were undercooked. We asked for medium rare - medium steak and they were all rare. 2/4 people in our group had to send the steaks back 2-3 times before it was cooked to more than rare. On the menu was a 14oz striploin but we got a very thinly cut piece of ribeye which the kitchen staff could not be bothered to know how to cook. The food that did come out correctly was mediocre at best. We tried to get someone’s attention to bring the bill so we could leave and the female bartender looked at us dead in the eyes while we waved our hands and completely ignored us and didn’t bother to communicate with the server. And on top of all that, the fire alarm went off during dinner contributing to a very chaotic and smoky atmosphere. In the end, all of our steaks were comped but it still wasn’t worth the money we paid for...
Read moreHaving had a fantastic experience at Le Bistro last year, we were excited to return with a party of 11 to share the magic with our friends. Unfortunately, this year’s visit was a far cry from the excellence we had previously enjoyed.
The service was painfully slow, despite our server’s genuine efforts. Several items on the menu were unavailable, but the worst part was the lack of basic resources. Appetizers were served on Nespresso coffee plates, a baffling substitute for proper serving dishes. Drinks were a comedy of errors—an Old Fashioned arrived as plain whiskey with an orange slice, an espresso martini came in a water glass and tasted unrecognizable, and a dirty martini couldn’t be served due to a lack of olives. After a 10-minute wait, we were told it simply wouldn’t be available.
The timing of the courses was chaotic, with appetizers and entrees arriving without coordination. While the food itself was decent and the servers worked hard, these issues overshadowed their efforts.
My biggest concern, however, was the management—or lack thereof. When I raised my concerns with the manager, she brushed off my feedback entirely, showing no interest in addressing the problems. This dismissive attitude was the final straw.
Le Bistro needs serious operational leadership to fix these glaring issues, or they risk losing loyal customers like me. While I appreciate the hard work of the servers and the quality of the food, the experience as a whole was unacceptable. Two stars for the food and staff effort, but zero for the management. If I could, I’d give the manager a negative rating. Sadly, I won’t be returning to...
Read moreMy visit to Le Bistro at Bel Air Tremblant for breakfast left me with mixed feelings. The restaurant itself is nestled in a beautiful setting, providing a picturesque backdrop to start the day. However, there were some aspects of the experience that left room for improvement.
First, the setting was undeniably beautiful. The ambiance was serene and inviting, and the views were simply stunning. It's the kind of place that can easily set the mood for a pleasant meal.
On the flip side, the service left something to be desired. With just two servers for a group of 14, it was evident that they were stretched thin. This made the service a bit slower than I would have liked, and it was challenging for them to keep up with such a large group. More staff might be needed during peak hours to ensure a smoother dining experience.
As for the food, I opted for an omelet. It was decent, but I'd describe it as moderate. I had expected a bit more in terms of flavor and variety, considering the picturesque surroundings. It wasn't a standout breakfast, but it wasn't disappointing either.
One particular detail that bothered me was the coffee service. They served the coffee in different cups, which, personally, I found a bit inconvenient. A standard coffee pot or carafe on the table would have been a more practical choice, allowing guests to refill their cups at their leisure.
In summary, Le Bistro at Bel Air Tremblant offers a beautiful setting for breakfast, but improvements in service and perhaps more attention to the food quality could make it an even more memorable...
