Archibald Microbrasserie — Restaurant in Lac-Beauport

Horrible experience. Table of 6.Clearly the staff was not sufficient for the crowd. Took at least 40 min to get our drinks. Order was taken but only a portion came out after a very long time. Our server never came to see us to see how we were doing. After 90 minutes, 3 plates were received and one had to be returned as it was stone cold. Overall, only 3 plates out of 9 came. It seems they had a glitch with the computer with the rest of the order.

We eventually gave up and asked for the check after 2 hours.

The server eventually came back and told us there would be no charge for anything we ate.

Probably an off night as we visit pretty often but will certainly reconsider before returning as wasting my Friday night waiting for food Isn’t how I planned to start the weekend.

I went to Archibald as part of the package with Siberia Station Spa. We had to made a reservation beforehand, when we arrived (early) we were still promptly seated. The package included a beer, appetizers, and main course.

For appetizers we ordered calamari, smoked salmon, onion cheese crouton soup. I usually dislike onions but can't even taste the onions in the soup! For appetizers I think they did a great job.

We ordered the braise beef cheeks and wild mushroom pasta. The braised beef cheeks were not as good as the one I had at chez jule. The wild mushroom pasta was very creamy but it was not bad. For main course I think they need some work.

Overall, come here for appetizers and atmosphere.

I checked out this place with my husband yesterday. We got to try their beer from the collab with Siberia Spa. It was good. However the service and food was not great. We went after the spa at 8pm on a Monday. The service was slow and no one really checked in us after the food finally arrived. We each had the chicken burger. The bun was soggy by the time and it really lacked flavour. The poutine was over priced considering the portions size.
