De retour de Québec, sur la 50, j’ai eu un p’ti creux. Je désirais arrêter dans le restaurant reconnu partout en Outaouais pour sa fameuse poutine… mais hélas! J’ai été accueilli par une pancarte “fermé pour l’hiver” J’ai donc trouvé cette alternative et j’ai été agréablement surpris. Excellentes poutines, généreuses.. squishantes à souhait!! Un peu dur de spotter le restaurant mais vous devez l’esssyer!! Service exceptionnel!

Possibly the most unhealthy food in the world. But, this is what food and enjoyment of Quebec is all about! I stop at O'Frites everytime we are in Lachute for vacation. The poutine is the best I have ever had. Period! I have tried to reproduce the sauce and can not. The curd is perfect and fresh. The hotdogs (all dressed) are wonderful and just the right amount of bun. Very affordable menu for lunch and it fills you up!!!! Only thing that could top the menu is the...

O 'frites was once a great stop for some good fries and steamies ,the all dressed dogs had a really great coleslaw.But something seems to have changed,perhaps a change of owners,putting more effort into turning a case croute into some sort of crappy cabaret or night club,I don't know.They should stick to a formula that has worked for many years. I now go down the street to labelle .Sorry old friends...

Love this spot. We cottage near Lachute and we make a point of coming into town at least once to grab a burger and poutine at this unassuming little gem. The owner (I presume he's the owner, anyway) is super friendly and tolerant of the fact neither of us speak French. Prices are more than...
