We ordered take out from the Lakeshore location on Sunday evening and it was a very disappointing experience. We ordered the Green Burger, Bacon Chipotle Burger, Perch Burger, Blackened Tuna Sandwich, and the Fry Caddy. When we got home we found that the side salads had been packed with the warm food, and none of the sandwiches had been labelled. We had to unwrap and open each sandwich to check to see which was which. The Fry Caddy is a family favourite, providing a generous selection of each of waffle fries, tater tots and onion rings. It was the source of the greatest disappointment. There was a total of four (4) waffle fries, counting the small pieces and the pulling apart the 2 that were stuck together and only partially cooked. They were soggy and greasy. The tater tots were also undercooked. The onion rings were also greasy. It as definitely smaller than usual and the looked like it had been dumped together. We called to express our concerns and were given the options of a replacement order, a gift card, or a full refund for the Fry Caddy. We chose the refund and the same family member who had picked up the original order headed back to the restaurant to collect. When he got there he was told he would be given a gift card. He was told that most people request a replacement order, and that they don't do partial refunds. He objected, saying we had been offered a full refund by the manager herself, and asked to speak to the her. The server went to the back and returned with a cash refund. The manager never appeared.
Whoever was working in the kitchen didn't seem to care about the quality of the food they were producing, and how it was being packaged. The management didn't seem to care about our choice to support their...
Read moreHonestly I was super excited about the goat coming to lakeshore since I’ve been to the one in lasalle but it was absolutely HORRIBLE. As a server/manager for over ten years I am honestly completely shocked. There was one girl working when me, my husband and baby got there. She was nice. It was a Thursday at 4oclock and there was only two other people in there. She then told us she had to switch us over to a new server she had to leave. That new server came to our table once. We waited 20 minutes and she was no where to be found (only had 3 tables in the place) there was two groups of people who came in waited at the hostess station then left bc nobody came to help them. I then had to go INTO the kitchen and ask the cook to find my server for us to cash out. When she finally came back to the table I told her that two group of people walked out because nobody was there to greet them she shrugged and walked away. Never have I ever had the worst customer service in my life. We should of went to McDonald’s like the one review I read said. Haha, hopefully Loose Goose is opening soon since we don’t have any good pubs around here. I’d give this place a zero...
Read moreAfter we had spent the morning fishing in Belle River, we found ourselves in the position of being hungry for lunch on our way back home in Windsor. The stretch between the two cities was perfectly broken by The Goat! We stopped, none of us had ever been to the restaurant before at any of their locations. We were promptly greeted by The Goat staff, and directed to a table for the six of us. After collecting our drink order, and given the moment to review the menu, selections were made by everyone and our orders were placed. Our server approached us many times to confirm if we needed additional beverages while we waited for lunch. Lunch arrived after a short while and we were impressed with the presentation of the food we chose. They even pleased my niece who was the pickiest of us! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great sports pub decor and the service was exceptional! The food hit the right spots and my son, my nephews and niece were bellies full asleep on the ride home. If that doesn’t speak volumes about the food being good comfort food, then I don’t know what does! Great job, Goat! We’ll see you again next...
