Prairie Grounds Coffee House — Restaurant in Langdon

I had the good fortune to have an extra hour of time before a showing in Langdon and took the opportunity to try out this cozy coffee shop and relax.

This shop is spotless and well-decorated. It is easy to tell that this shop is a central point for the community by the stylush consignment clothing area and business card corner of the shop.

I ordered the Rolo Latté and found it to be a guilty treat to enjoy and savour. There are several types of lattés here. I never knew that there could be so many! In fact, it was so good that I even had a second latté; the Raspberry Chocolate one.

They are the perfect compliment to a lovely conversation that I had with the owner. She explained to me that her and her husband bought the business 2 weeks before the Covid19 shutdown! She explained that the secret to their survival was the community embracing them and door to door delivery service. Incredible show of resilience! How can you not get behind this local business?!

I used to love langdon coffee house!

There’s some lady who works at this once beautiful establishment and if within the first three seconds of walking in the now dirty dingy shop you haven’t bought an item you’ll be removed and told to come back when your looking to buy something. Even recently since ive seen more of this lady I’ve watched this place go down hill nothing seems to get done right anymore over the past week they have surely lost my business. I’m tired of watching little kids freeze outside because your too stuck up and I’m tired of my feet sticking to the floor and drink being made wrong because your incompetent. Good luck with you future endeavours I don’t see this going much...

Had a quick stop here enroute to Drumheller. What a fortuitous stop it was, about 3 in the afternoon!! A delightful, cozy, and comfortable coffee shop. Shop was not busy and the server was outstanding, very courteous and friendly! She quickly made up sandwiches for us, and of course the coffee and tea were excellent.
