Phat Albert Wok & Grill — Restaurant in Lasalle

We are experienced Asian restaurant goers. We’ve been to different places in different parts of Canada and don’t not expect white table cloths on the tables and exclusive service but this place was our worst experience ever. My husband and myself said, “never again”. First thing that felt very unpleasant was sticky table cloths, we always order green tea with Asian food and usually it’s served in a pot with small cups, here the green tea was bagged and served in ugly mugs 😣. Usually, Chinese meats (chicken pork or beef) is very tender but not here huge cubes of dry white meat chicken and pork all that tasted the same, no difference. The hit was the bill be got on a pink piece of paper with greasy spots like they were cooking on it before giving it to us. According to ratings and reviews this place is great, probably because these reviews written by friends… With all respect to the cook, the owner should do something tho make this place better, at least change table cloths regularly…. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I felt compelled to after my experience. We came to eat dinner, they didn’t give us any water or menus. When we asked for menus they informed us it’d be an hour before we receive our food which we had no problem with, but after waiting for 20 minutes no one came to help us, so we asked the wait staff if we could order and they mentioned they’d be right there and after another 5-10 minutes no one came so we ended up leaving. We don’t do Chinese take out often, but we had a craving. Had heard good things, so we thought we would grab dinner from an obscure restaurant we pass every day.

Called at 7 pm and they told us they couldn’t have an order ready until 8:30. It is always a good thing when a restaurant is that busy. We had Lemon Chicken, Tao Chicken, Stir Fried Green Beans and Chicken with Vegetable Egg Noodles. They called exactly at 8:30 for us to pick up and we’ll the food was incredible.
