We went for Sunday brunch around 2 p.m. The place was almost empty, and we were greeted by two friendly waitresses. The food was ordinary, with portions that seemed a normal size, though smaller than at other Cora’s locations I’ve been to. We shared one “Fraises Avalanche pour Fannie” between the two of us, as we didn’t have a big appetite. I also ordered a latte served in a bowl.
We were given two toasts with butter already spread on them. I apologized to the waitress because I had forgotten to ask for my toast without butter. She asked if I wanted to replace the toast with one without butter or just have an additional one. I chose to replace it.
While I understand that an extra toast would come with an extra charge, I was a bit surprised that they took away the original toast. I had expected them to just leave it with us, especially since the place was empty and they wouldn’t have been able to serve it to someone else. It gave me the impression that the restaurant isn’t very concerned about food waste.
On a positive note, the waitress kindly helped me set up a Cora’s fidelity account, which I appreciated. Overall, though, it felt a bit pricey for...
Read moreI went there last week with my mom for breakfast and we were both very dissapointed. It cost us 30$ for both. The service was slow and the waitress seemed very lost. My mom ordered the smoked salmon plate, first of all 3/4 of the plate was salad and the lettuce was brown and it didn't come with capers. We asked for capers and after 5 mins she came back to tell us they had no capers left in the restaurant. They go together so when the chef got the order why didnt they come to tell us instead of making the plate and ignoring the fact they didnt have any. She would have ordered something else instead but they seem to have not cared. For my breakfast, first off the egg was broken, the potatoes had no flavor at all and i had to wave over the waitress to remind her of my toast which she had forgotten. By the time she brought it over my breakfast was cold. We left very dissapointed ! Chez Cora is not like it used to be and frankly that was the last time I ever step foot in that place. Don't bother spending your money at this place, you're better off going to eat breakfast at Tim Horton's next door. Better service and...
Read moreService was extremely slow, more than an hour to get served. The table behind us complained about it to the manager that immediately started yelling at the seniors at the table. He went on telling them he would dial head office for them right now if they wanted. He went away, came back and went on telling them they would have a Heart attack if they didn't change their behavior. We were completely shocked by the way this was handled by a manager. Very unprofessional. I will never go...
