OG Burger — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

So looking for a place to grab a burger and poutine, and seeing where OG is, I was a bit sceptical because of its location, but then again, if you don't make your way to these kind of places, you'll never know what your missing. And I'm glad I went. Ordered the og burger and shared a poutine. Small poutine is suffice for two people just to keep note. The sauce is just perfect. Some would find it salty, I do not. The texture, color of the sauce is perfect. Not to thick and not watery at all. I usually prefer BBQ orange sauce, but this poutine was just perfect. Enough cheese and the fries are fresh cut potatoes where it is just done right. Now for the burger, all I can say is this is how it's done. Two patties and the works on it. The buns alone were perfect. If you complain about the price then do yourselves a favor and just go to McDonald's and don't occupy the line up please. Meat was seasoned perfectly and the damn thing just tasted so fresh. I cannot wait to go back and try the other burgers as well. The chicken sandwiches also look pretty good as well. What I like about this restaurant is the menu. Few items and just simple. The only thing I can really complain about this place is that they need to put grill hotdogs on the menu because I cannot imagine how good they would taste. Cute little spot right around my place that I didn’t even know existed. The smash burgers were super tasty — definitely the highlight of the meal. The young girl at the register was really friendly, and there was some hip-hop playing in the background, just the right volume. It’s a small place with maybe 2–3 tables.

The poutine was good — quality cheese and well done — but again, the burger stole the show. I had the OG double cheeseburger ($12), and while it was delicious, I was still a bit hungry afterward. I wish the patties were slightly thicker or more filling. Not sure what the going price is for smash burgers elsewhere, but I’d expect to feel full after a double.

That said, both my girlfriend and I thought it was really tasty. Just make sure to grab a side with your burger. We’ll definitely be back —...

Habituellement, je n’écris pas d’avis sur les commerces locaux, car j’aime les soutenir autant que possible. Cependant, le service que nous avons reçu de la caissière était tellement impoli que je me sens obligé de partager mon expérience. Nous sommes des clients locaux et nous commandions déjà en livraison avant que l’endroit devienne plus populaire grâce à Olivier Primeau. C’était notre première visite en personne.

Dès notre arrivée, la jeune femme à la caisse a été désagréable. Honnêtement, je ne comprends pas comment elle peut encore travailler là, sauf si c’est un commerce familial. Aucun sourire, aucune amabilité. On sentait juste qu’elle voulait en finir le plus vite possible. Nous avons posé une question toute simple, comme : « Que pensez-vous du poulet épicé ? » Elle a d’abord gardé le silence, puis a répondu : « Quoi, le poulet ? » Quand j’ai précisé si elle le recommandait, elle replique avec un : « Ben là, évidemment qu’il est bon. Qu’est-ce que vous attendiez comme réponse ? » comme si notre question était ridicule. Et d'autres remarques de ce genre qu'elle fait a nous et les autres clients qui venaient apres

Nous avons aussi demandé du poivre de Cayenne à part. Elle a dit à son collègue : « Pourquoi s’embêter à le mettre à part ? Mets-le directement sur la poutine. » Heureusement, son collègue a été poli et a répondu que c’était correct, et il nous a servi exactement ce qu’on avait demandé. Son attitude, autant envers les clients qu’envers ses collègues, était choquante...J’ai même pensé à annuler ma commande sur le coup.

À l’inverse, le jeune homme qui travaillait là était extrêmement poli, respectueux et a discuté agréablement avec nous. C’est le genre d’employé qui donne envie de revenir.

Concernant la nourriture : elle est excellente. La poutine est bonne, mais ce sont vraiment les burgers qui se démarquent. Le poulet épicé était très croustillant et juteux, avec une sauce savoureuse (même si le pain était un peu mou). Quant au burger OG, il est tout simplement incroyable. Je le recommande fortement.
