Very good food and service.
I had an issue with tomatoes not being exactly "ready". Maybe an issue with the supplier or having too many orders and having to go through stock quicker than expected? I wouldn't complain if it was just the tomatoes in the pitas but having the greek salad full of unripe tomatoes made it more obvious.
To remain on the greek salad subject, I know everything's is expensive nowadays but putting only one kalamata olive is just..a tease. There should be laws against that. Lol
Also, the menu on the website is quite a bit misguiding in terms of prices and I have to admit that was not an appreciated surprise. For two meals it came to 7-8 bucks more than what is advertised. Although this is not a huge amount, it was a bit annoying.
In terms of meat no complaints, I wouldn't exactly say that it totally beats places like Vieux Grec, Village grec, Marathon or other good greek food places but hey it's definitely good enough for me to not want to drive the extra minutes to get to other places out of sainte-dorothee.
The tzatziki is very good and I wish there was a bit more in the pitas.
The fries are suprisingly crispy and I'd say pretty much the best potatoes/fries I have had in...
Read morePrices are great and the quality of the ingredients are unquestionable, you can tell by the taste. Met with the owner while waiting for my counter pick-up, and you can see the love he puts in the place, but especially in his cooking. Good job and sincerely, thanks or should I say... ευχαριστώ.
I need to emphasize how delicious the food is here: fries are homemade, not too crispy not too soft, perfect. Vegetables so fresh and crunchy that I was able to distinguish every single one in all my bites. Pita bread is perfectly toasted on the grill and yet, not hard, wasn't even soggy when I started eating it at home. Best pita bread I've had. Chicken, juicy and grilled as it should, marinated with what I can only assume is the freshest Greek oregano. Pork is the same and my favorite. I tried their house mayo and it's amazing. It actually made me forget tzatziki even exists, and everyone who knows me, knows it's one of my favourite things. Don't consider this as me putting down GR's tzatziki as theirs is delicious, not the sour cream version you find at other Greek "authentic" spots. Go enjoy this place, I...
Read moreDrove from Kirkland to try this out based on the excellent reviews. They were out of souvlaki (two massive orders wiped them out) so had a pork gyro souvlaki to see the taste. Owner threw in a free fries and all I will say is YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE. The souvlaki was delishious but the fries were the best fries I have eaten in 20 years. Will update the review when I go back and try the rest.
April UPDATE Went back but called in the order first. The fries were still outstanding, almost think the place should be called GREEK FRENCH FRY HOUSE. Forgot to mention they give you a side sauce with the fries. The souvlaki pork pita - excellent marinated meat, the owner takes meticulous care not to overcook the meat. Generous tzatziki and tomatoes, and it was excellent. The side salad is traditional with a French style dressing, generous portions. Will again update the review when I try the greek salad. Cannot say enough good things about this small family run business. Never understand why people go to Marathon when you have places like...
