Les Pas Perdus — Restaurant in Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine

A cute bar/restaurant located near the heart of the island. Waitresses were extremely friendly (and prompt) and the food was fantastic!

We were seated at the bar because the place was so busy! Understandably so. With such a friendly staff, great beer, and delicious food, why would the place not be busy?

Now on to the food:

I had a halibut burger with an upgrade to a poutine and a side salad. The halibut burger was delicious! Unlike most places with fish burgers, the halibut tasted fresh. Almost as if it was caught the morning of. The poutine was amazing, with delicious local cheese and gravy that definitely did not come out of a box.

Overall, would come back here again for their other dishes. Friendly staff, no wait on service, and fantastic food. A perfect bar-restaurant off the main road.

Based on the reviews I read I decided to try this restaurant. The setting was quaint with both inside and outside seating. Waitress was friendly. I ordered the Shrimp Vegetable Stir Fry with peanut sauce and found it to be very bland. My husband order salmon and beef but did not know it would be raw. Our mistake for not knowing that tartar mean raw. The waitress was pleasant about it and returned it to the kitchen. My husband's second choice was the scallops on salad which he enjoyed. I had been going to this restaurant for several years, but this was definitely the last time. Upon arrival (after making a reservation, of course), we were assigned a table that was literally stuck right next to another table with barely enough space to squeeze through on the bench. After receiving very unpleasant looks from the people at the next table due to the cramped space, the waiter moved our table to the other side, and I ended up sitting with the (concrete or whatever material it was) wall to lean on.
