As a tourist, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Quebec.

I came in with a French speaking friend who kindly translated for me, and we were immediately treated differently. One of the waitresses even whispered to another that he was “English” then avoided our table while they leaned around the cash staring. Not exactly a warm welcome.

The service continued with passive aggressive looks every time staff passed by while I was sitting comfortably at my table, not in anyone’s way.

When the food finally came I was genuinely disappointed. The plate looked thrown together plain presentation with a sloppy squirt of ketchup on the bun and the burger was clearly processed chewy, bland, and far from fresh.
