This was not our first visit to Joe's, and not our first at lunch time, but it will certainly be our last.
We arrived at 11:55 and found ourselves a table. By 12:05 our server delivered our glasses of pop and took our lunch order. We never saw her again.
Then we waited, and waited and waited. I finally looked at my phone... 12:30...
I said to my husband, "Gee, I wonder what happened to our food?"
He replied, "I have no idea, but if it isn't here soon, We've got to get it to go...."
Well, by 12:40 we still have no food so we find a waitress, not our waitress (who we haven't seen since she brought our pop) to let her know that we need our food to go. At 12:45, here comes our original waitress, with a bag. She drops it off and returns a few minutes later with the debit machine.
My husband's office is about 5 minutes from the restaurant. By the time we got there, our fries were soggy and all of the food cold. My husband's chicken fingers were of poor quality, more breading than chicken. I never did get to eat my salad, there was no fork in the bag, no napkins either.
One other thing... our server either needs to buy longer shirts or higher waisted jeans. There is no reason that anyone's belly needs to be shared with customers. This was not the first time that we've seen this server dressing this way for work, and none of the other servers dress this way. Totally inappropriate.
We were really happy when Joe's came to Lethbridge, but the service has gone down the tubes. If it was the first time we had mediocre food and lack-luster service, I might have written it off, but it...
Read moreCame in tonight for my husbands 30th birthday. There was 11 of us including my two children. Food was amazing as usual besides my French onion soup was cold, but pretty sure because of the server. Our server on the other hand was very rude, barely ever checked on us, we had to go up to the bartender for a few drinks as she was standing at the table with her coworkers while they did crafts off shift . Our table sat dirty to the point we started stacking our stuff at the end of it in hopes she would grab them but she didn’t. She came up to us after and her words were ‘ I’ve been here for 9 hours so legally I can’t be here anymore so I need you guys to pay me’ Never once asked if we wanted anything else or even a kind ‘ hey I’m done my shift can yall clear up’. My husband said thank you when she finally brought him a beer & she said ‘ yup’ in a very rude tone . I ordered a ceaser from the bartender & paid for it to him & Chloe added it to my bill as well. If Chloe is working , we will be taking our business elsewhere. The other blonde lady (I wish I got her name as she has served us tons) & bartender were AMAZING . We come in for every birthday or special occasion but after tonight , we were very upset about the way our server treated us. She ruined my husbands 30th birthday with her attitude &...
Read moreMy recent visit to Original Joe’s in Lethbridge, Alberta, left me thoroughly impressed and eager to return. Meeting up with a friend, I indulged in their mouthwatering beef dip accompanied by truffle fries and a side salad. Let me just say, it was a culinary delight! The beef dip easily ranks as the second best in town, and the truffle fries were nothing short of phenomenal. Even the side salad was a refreshing burst of flavor.
However, what truly elevated my experience was the exceptional service provided by our server, Tova. She was more than just a server; she was a genuine delight. Tova’s attentiveness, honesty, and charming demeanor made the entire dining experience memorable. It's rare to come across a waitress who exudes such passion and joy in her work. Her dedication and genuine care for her customers truly shines through.
To top it off, my beer was chilled to perfection, adding the perfect touch to an already delightful meal. Without a doubt, Tova was the real star of the show, and her outstanding service alone is reason enough for me to eagerly anticipate my next visit to Original Joe’s. Kudos to Tova and the entire team for creating such a welcoming and enjoyable dining atmosphere. Original Joe’s in Lethbridge is definitely a gem worth revisiting time...
