Jay C's Déjeuners et Pub Urbain — Restaurant in Longueuil

This is my new best kept secret restaurant.

On Sunday, we called, because 32 of us (family and friends) wanted to have breakfast. As a total surprise they were able to receive all of us about an hour later.

We got there, got a semi-private room, some of us ordered breakfast, other wanted a lunch menu. They were ready for us. We got our food quickly and it was very good.

This comes as a surprise because I never went there, even if I live 5 mins away from this place. Me, my friends and my family have enjoyed ourselves and the staff was very very polite.

A few days later, I'm still pleasantly surprised about this place. And I'm impatient to go back.

For the price enthusiast, they are more than fair. I'll admit that I usually pay much more when I get breakfast elsewhere. So, again this gave me a bigger smile when I saw the prices on the menu.

To anyone who hesitates, I would say, don't. Skip the yellow arches for once and treat yourself with...

I called for a delivery and only got my food 1:45 minutes later... after trying to reach them a few times, there phone kept on telling me to update there voicemail and reconfigure there calling system... I have ordered from them a few other times and no major complaints but the least they could have done was advise me of the delay. Once I got my order, it was missing our starters. We tryed calling back with the delivery driver with no success. Once we reached them, the "manger" could only offer us is "the next time he will give us 50% off"... this would have been some what acceptable if the food was even warm enough to be eaten. The only Other option was that they would have sent me another order after 1:45 wait...A business should not be run like this... I gave the driver his tip and told him to bring the food back. Very disappointing for a restaurant that has been around...

We enjoyed a delightful dinner from this place. All the plates were flavourful and I really enjoyed the sauce served with the sous marin. The slight sourness tied up the meal so well together, it was great. The pasta was a bit too soft for my own likings but they were delivered so that might have been the reason why they felt a bit overcooked. In terms of portion, I feel like the spaghetti is a bit small for around 20$ the plate compared to the lasagna that was the same price but was so much larger or the poutine that was quite massive for 15$. The sous marin was also fine portion wise but I feel like there are a lot of other places that offers bigger portions for around the same price. I did like the fries that came with the sous marin though. The crunchiness texture was just on point and even if it was delivered, they were still enjoyable unlike a lot of other...
