La Cage — Restaurant in Longueuil

Ordered from here through Doordash, which was perfectly fine. However, I am not sure if it is because we are not eating in the restaurant that they skimp out on the quality of the food they are serving or what. I ordered a ($19, which is a bit much imo) quinoa salad for my mother and a (15$) poutine for myself for lunch. At first glance the salad looked fine and the poutine was good. When my mother went to eat the salad, there was hardly any, albeit some, quinoa, goat cheese or other toppings, but there was A LOT of spinach. It was more like a spinach salad with quinoa, which is not worth the 19$. In the picture on Doordash, the salad also comes with chicken, but there was no chicken with the salad at all. Either change the picture or reduce the price. The last time that we ordered this salad was in the restaurant and it was delicious, however I am not sure why it was so disappointing now that we have ordered it through a delivery service. I’ve been to La Cage several times before and have always appreciated the lively atmosphere and good food. On my most recent visit, I was especially grateful for their flexibility in accommodating my group of friends and family for a late booking after a local theatre event. Their willingness to adjust to our schedule was truly appreciated.

The food, as expected, was delicious and consistent with past experiences. However, the service this time fell short of expectations. Despite the restaurant serving only a few tables at that late hour, it took a surprisingly long time for staff to take our order and even longer to serve our meals. After we finished eating and enjoyed our evening together, there was yet another long wait just to receive the bill.

While I understand that staff levels may be reduced later in the evening, the overall slowness detracted from an otherwise pleasant evening. I hope this was an isolated incident, as my past visits have been much more positive in...

Hi all

Decided to go at " La Cage " last minute , to watch NHL first round Draft .

Excellent ambiance. Service was good Food excellent I took half pork rib with Caesar salad & sweet potato fries .

The missing star sadly, the server made me wait 20 - 25 minutes for my soft drink .

He apologized , gave him a good tip , however as for the 5 star service not this time ! Hopefully next time

Second visit at " La Cage " Excellent all the way . Took 8 wings 😋 4 🧂 salty & pepper and 4 Buffalo 🐃 with blue cheese 🧀 dipping ,great taste .

Main course a "filet mignon " 8 on With sides of mashed potato 🥔 😋 And Rutabaga & beets mixed and also mashed .

La Cage has improved it's menu by far
