Restaurant La Belle Province — Restaurant in Longueuil

To be frank, really difficult to rate because I ordered many times and the quality varies a lot.

The hot dogs are always the same, and they are ok because they are cheap. But the poutine sometimes it's really good, sometimes they are very bland. I don't know why it varies so much.

Yesterday, my order was pretty bad. First of all , I ordered the smoked meat sandwich and it looked pretty good on the photo, but as seen on the pictures I'm providing, it is quite different. Certainly not worth $12 + tax.

Then, they charge $3.49 + tax for 1 can of coke and they deliver it hot/room temperature which , to me, is like slapping the client in the face. If you are going to charge the client $4+ for something that cost you peanuts, at least make some effort.

Finally, today I ordered the Philly steak poutine and they delivered the ground beef one. And it wasn't that good either. Pretty terrible to pay $22.48 (+ tax) for a medium poutine and receive something wrong and sub-par.

I dont know if it depends on whomever is on the shift but Yesterday was pretty bad. If I was rating only for Yesterday, I would give it 1 or 2 stars. Specially because I paid full price on this order , instead of their discounted combos. So, yeah, never order the individual items. You can get MUCH higher quality for those prices. You are paying fine dining prices for fast food quality.

When ordering their discounted combos, though (1 large poutine + 4 hotdogs + coke for $25 for example) and the poutine is well made, it's a 3 or 4 stars.

I'm gonna go with 3...

Compared to other fast food chains, La Belle Province is probably one of the chains that appeal to me the least. I did decide to give it a try since it has been so long and it's just not for me. I can understand why people like it, but I was not a big fan of the fries being soggy, the bun and the bread being soggy, also the sausage being so small in the hot dog. I have to admit that the prices aren't so bad so the portions are reasonable, but I just feel like the texture is off for me. I did however enjoy the flavours in their food. The smoked meat was nicely seasoned, the toppings in the hot dog made it decent and the cheeseburger had a nice balance of saltiness and sweetness to it from the toppings. I didn't want to believe that the reviews were true but they are. I just ordered a fry but it seems like such a complicated process for this one worker. He left packaging the food that was coming out and then the cook had to come out and finish the order. She was nice and friendly but unfortunately, the fries were undercooked soggy and I even had some cold ones.. I don't know how you can mess up fries but they did. Also there was some conflict between the workers. It didn't have a nice energy there and I really do not recommend ever going there and I hope they can change this and get some new management to fix the problems so they can start having...
