Rude service makes it hard to justify sub-standard food. There is absolutely no reason for a restaurant to blame the customer for being early and to not take responsibility to know its own reservation book. Details below.
We were patiently waiting for our reservation made by my uncle, 2 tables of 10 people with a set menu, as we arrived 10-15 minutes early. I was surprised when we were quickly ushered to 1 "reserved" table, at which point a senior server started yelling at my mother, repeatedly asking if there reservation was for 2 tables or for 3 tables, and put the onus on her to confirm the details of the reservation because he insisted it had changed. To top it off, he became angry with us for being early!
Let me be clear: when we arrived, we were ready to wait and never insisted on being seated right away.
When he wouldn't stop harassing my mother, who became distraught while trying to reach my uncle, I calmly asked him, "Whether the reservation is for 2 or for 3 tables, where is the second table going to be?". He ignored me and continued to insist that the reservation had changed and needed us to confirm and that this is all our fault since we were early. My mother became cowed and meek trying to meet his insistent demands.
At this point, I couldn't stand it any longer and demanded that he apologise to my mother. The server put all his anger and frustration on the customer, going as far as to blame the customer, when it really came down to poor restaurant management. To top it off, the reservation was made days in advance to follow my grandmother's funeral. It really shows that the restaurant’s front-of-house has poor judgement and a complete lack of tact.
When I demanded an apology for my mother, he REFUSED to apologise and instead kept blaming her by saying she was early and he doesn't know the reservation and it's her fault.
I am posting this review because the server unnecessarily gave my mother so much grief during a time of mourning and it took endless interference until he smartened up and apologised.
And guess what? At the end of the day, my uncle confirmed that the reservation was for 2 tables. And after all that, the restaurant still didn’t put us in 2 tables next...
Read moreI could not wait to come home to write this review. Absolutely ATROCIOUS customer service. The wait staff were rude and the management (man in glasses and a suit) was worse. I cannot believe I even left a tip. The food was room temperature when served and the fresh fish we offered was cut up until pieces that was not worth presentation. When I asked for the bill the man in the suit almost seemed to glaze over me with annoyance and instead of bringing ME the bill, he proceeded to walk in the direction of the males at the table when I was the one holding my wallet. His mannerisms got worse when I asked for the credit card machine. He put his hand out for me to give him my credit card... He proceeded to put it into the machine for me then flipped it over abruptly waiting for me to complete the translation... When I completed the transaction he ripped off the receipt and walked off... No thank you, no communication and walked off. Are you kidding me?! You only had a total of 4 other tables tonight and you and your staff couldn't even take a minute to be nice. My usual minimum of a 20% tip was not something you deserve. Your restaurant needs to learn to be less sharp tongued with your customers and try to greet your customers and learn to show appreciation when they leave. This is the very very last place I would EVER drop $400+ The man who took my money has been there for years. This was THE worse service ever.... And to think that you survived the pandemic with this attitude. Shame on you! I will never go back and I will be sure to tell those in my circle.
The presentation of your food was not enough to withstand the horrific service. There are plenty of places I'd recommend before even stepping foot into this...

Bad service can not be apply, is NO SERVICE at all, we got in get the place, we set the table ourself, oh no tea cup to drink tea!!! We finish ordering, we wait almost 10 mins with the tea pot open, so we decide to put the paper standing beside the teapot, then suddenly they saw the teapot open then pull off the paper on the side, then she comes back then we have to told her that the paper order wasn’t order yet!!! Ok they finish punching the orders but missing couple items. So make sure you have the right order….. and when we done, we ask someone for the bill and the lady come back and said someone will bring the bill, then I wait wait wait keep waiting almost 20 mins, then still no body then I ask the waitress if we have to wait the bill to leave, as good customer I wait, then she goes back to get the bill, then a different lady comes back, then I ask to pay by card, then I said I don’t even put the tip in it, she said 11% was charged, in my mind I was about to give 5% at least, but the service like that I don’t even want to tip. But as I can see just because they charge 11% that’s why all employees are not even worth give a bit if service !!!!! Cos they are getting tipped anyways……. So frustrating after this experience!!!!!
