KFC — Restaurant in Markham

I came in for a quick bite on my way home. Walk in at 11:20 PM... Waited and waited. There were no employees to be seen. Kiosks are offline. Two women waiting said, you have to yell or they won't come out. Called out to the back and was finally greeted at the cash. Me: I'd like a 3 piece meal. Employee: sorry we don't have chicken Me: what do you mean? You're a chicken restaurant Employee: we're closed. Me: I thought you close at midnight? Employee: yes we do I look at my phone. Me: it's 11:22 Employee: yeah we close in 10-15 minutes Think to myself, that's only 11:30-11:35. Look at employee staring blankly at me and realized I wasn't getting chicken and left. The two ladies standing there before me said they had to yell at the back to get served too and they've been waiting for a while. Said they didn't know what was going on back there either. I wouldn't walk into a restaurant right before close and expect to be served, but a fast food restaurant 40 minutes prior to closing should still be serving food.

P.S. I'm now home. Put all my stuff away, got a bunch of stuff done. Fiddled with my phone. Decided to write a review. Figured out how to write a review. Wrote the review. As I'm about to post it... It's STILL not...

Ordered 12 piece of chicken with 2 large sides on our way home for dinner. We haven’t had KFC in years since there wasn’t one near enough to us to conveniently have it. The breading was soggy and falling off of most of the chicken. I have a piece of chicken that had a giant piece where it was ALL breading. All the chicken was extremely salty to the point that it masked any other taste and seasoning. It was so salty that we had to drink 2 large glasses of water during the meal and 5 glasses after. I am able to eat 4-5 pieces of chicken from other restaurants without needing to do this, my salt tolerance isn’t so low that this is my issue. I honestly am shocked at how terrible the chicken here is. Idk if KFC has fallen so far in its quality and taste or it’s just this location, but this experience had made me not want to consider KFC again for a long long long time. All the other franchise competitors I’ve tried and also non franchise competitors have been miles ahead in terms of quality and taste. I’m very disappointed in KFC, your food used to actually taste good. This visit...

KFC after you fill up gas

This location is conveniently located inside a petro Canada. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

It’s got their full menu and not sure how they’re cooking it without setting any alarms off but it’s great that I can get their sandwiches anytime.

I decided to celebrate their opening with the KD Mac & cheese chicken sandwich.

Tasty sandwich with all the elements made properly. But the combination was just a miss for me. I think if the sauce was more or they made it a little more creamy it would’ve been a great collaboration.

But this platform isn’t about that. The food was fresh, the elements of the food were tasty and service was good. Someone was training, so taking the order wasn’t as quick as it should be, but still understood the assignment.

I gave atmosphere a high rating as you look at the kfc location itself, it’s got a sleek modern feel to it. Also liked the self checkout area available too.

Parking is available in front of the office the shop or to the east side of the gas station along the curb for the car wash...
