I seen lots of photos and driven by this place and always wanted to try this HK cafe. As I was looking at the menu, the fonts looked alot like Ming's noodle in scarborough at kennedy and steeles. Then I found out that they sold the same spicy sauce, so I put 2 and 2 together and would come to the conclusion that this is their sister store.
First off, their menus. They have alot, and i mean alot of menus, so you are going to have to go through 20 pages of them. I would recommend they simplify and take out like the lunch menu during dinner.
Our waitress was really nice and was very smiley. Btw, there is free dessert no matter what you buy at this place (dinner is when I came, not sure if it applies to lunch)
They had some fusion food and also your HK cafe classics. I was going for the skillet with assorted meat, and it was really tasty. The meat was tender and a great meal to eat when your hungry, as it comes with soup, salad, a serving of rice or spaghetti and at the bottom of the meat there was fries. Comes with different sauces, but I chose to get gravy. Also came with a drink.
We wanted to try something from their fusion menu and got a bacon wrap shrimp and chicken. served with sweet and sour sauce on the side. It was surprisingly really good as well. Nicely fried and really makes you wanna eat more.
I love this place and the M is for Ming im guessing. I will goto the other location as it is closer to me, but if Im in that neck of the woods, I will for sure go there as it is a bigger place, and alot more parking. Okay decor. If you like HK cafe you can't go wrong here, or even...

We were seated in a booth, since we were a party of two. The menu is quite extensive, ranging from all-day breakfast to your regular HK cafe foods, to steamed leaf rice. We opted for the staple baked pork chop rice and the pork neck steamed lotus leaf rice (pictured). Both meals came with a drink. The menu said that the leaf rice would take 15-20 minutes, but it really came about 10 minutes in. The portion sizes are huge, so it's really worth the value. Both of us could only finish half!
The service is about average. We ordered a horlick and a lemon tea and despite the server repeating the order back to us, thought we had said a horlick and milk tea. We ordered another meal to go with a lemon tea too and thought we had said milk tea. The server also seemed to be a bit nervous (maybe their first day?) and it took a little while to order. They generally left us alone for the rest of the meal though.
8/10 There are other better HK cafes in the area, but it's good for a...
Read moreKitchen M has recently renovated, nothing fancy, but simply refreshed with new tables & chairs, new wall paint and the signature robot models are on display.
UPDATE: On one end inside Kitchen M, they have a new section reserved for "Master Chef Malatang" hotpot where you pick your ingredients from the shelves and then they charge you by weight and you pay extra for the broth. The server told me that you can specifically sit at that particular section to eat hotpot only or...you can sit at the Kitchen M section and order eat at Malatang as some of the people at your table may still want to order normal Kitchen M Cha Chan Tang items and some wants to try the Malatang.
I like the massive long list of items being offered here, if you want breakfast, all-day combo, lunch, dinner, soup noodles, dinner combos, afternoon tea, congee, you can order anything you feel like eating.
Good portion, reasonable service and reasonable price.
My favourite combo is the all-day breakfast combo with creamy egg thick sandwich with satay soup noodles and cold...
