This spot serves up what can be described as traditional Chinese pancakes on steroids with a Western twist. Unless you opt for the Leek Dumpling (which is more like a small pancake filled with sliced leeks), nothing here reminds me of the classic versions found easily in China. However, their new approach works surprisingly well, resulting in a Chinese pancake (jian bing) that's bursting with flavor and packed with wholesome toppings. I tried the Egg Yolk & P&F pancake, which includes egg yolks, pork floss, and chopped lettuce. I also had the Leek Dumpling, despite its pancake-like shape. (Just between you and I, it's really uncomfortable to see how the fact and description goes sideways...) Both were truly delicious and very filling. The flavors are well-balanced, and each bite is satisfying. Although there's a bit of a language barrier, the staff is eager to help, and I’m definitely keen to try more of their offerings next time. While I appreciate their effort to cater to a broad audience with diverse toppings, I do miss the classic jian bing. Sometimes, nostalgia calls for that greasy pancake loaded with sliced leeks. Despite this, their take on a traditional dish is commendable, and it’s worth a visit if you’re in the mood for something familiar yet...
Read moreCame across Pancake Memo while exploring Pacific Mall with my cousin, and it ended up being one of the best surprise finds of the day. One of the staff members was really friendly and recommended their top three crepes—egg, chicken, and beef.
I ordered the beef crepe, and my cousin went with the egg. We ended up trading halves to try both, and honestly, the egg crepe blew me away. It was super flavourful with that crispy inside layer, some fresh herbs, and a perfect mix of sweet and savory sauces. The beef one was tasty too—filling and packed with protein—but if I had to choose again, I’d go all-in on the egg.
Everything is made fresh right in front of you, and the prices are really affordable for how big and satisfying the crepes are. Great spot if you’re at Pacific Mall and want something different, quick, and delicious. Definitely coming back to try the...
