Our group of 6 came for dinner on Mother’s Day. It was our first time at the restaurant, and we’d heard good reviews, especially since it’s inside such a prestigious golf club. Unfortunately, after the hostess brought us to our table, the service beyond that was abysmal and left a sour note in our whole group to what should've been a special occasion. Our reservation was at 5:30 pm, and the restaurant was only a quarter full. There were plenty of servers on the floor standing around, plus a gentleman in a shirt and tie who appeared to be the manager. Yet, no server came to our table for 30 minutes since we sat down—no glasses, no water on the table. We tried getting someone’s attention, but everyone seemed to have tunnel vision and overlooked our table, even the gentleman with the tie. We saw the servers helping the tables right next to us, and yet we still couldn’t stop anyone for their attention. Ultimately, I had to go to the hostess counter and let them know the situation. The hostess apologized profusely and explained there was a miscommunication within the servers. I saw them realizing they messed up and scrambling to get us water. Our server finally came (to no surprise, it was the server helping the tables next to us) and apologized yet again. We placed our drinks and food order all at once. We waited more for our cocktails to come one by one, and by this time, it was 6:30 pm. Our server came back a couple of times to confirm different items in our order, which left us even more frustrated. We want to give her the benefit of the doubt that she might be new, but the whole front house staff just appears inexperienced and like a bunch of high school part-time hires. Only if a manager was notified and checked in with us, maybe that would’ve turned our night around. Our food was decent, nothing memorable and wow-ed. I really wanted to like Silo Grill, given the spectacular views and ambiance, but I doubt I’ll return or recommend it to others after this very disappointing dining experience.

Probably the most disappointing brunch I've ever had. The restaurant is within a golf club and we got to sit outside to enjoy the views and atmosphere. That part was fantastic. Everything else was definitely not what I expected for a restaurant, let alone one at a golf club. We got a bunch of their eggs benedicts, including the florentine, salmon, and cajun. The eggs were all hard boiled, with solid, crumbly yolks. The english muffins on each and every one of our benedicts was dry, tough, and tasted as if they have been left to air out for a day or two. The accompanying potatoes were fine, but the fruit was clearly from a preprocessed package, probably also past its prime. The melons were turning clear at the edges and were all very oddly shaped and rounded, as if they have been through a tumbler. Nothing against our waitress as they were very kind and it was clear they were a staff's family member working a summer job or something. But she could not tell us what the meat or protein on the cajun benedict. We just all stared at the menu together for a few seconds. Along with a couple other issues, we could tell she was doing her best so we just kept silent and remained patient, but there could be some better training on the basics. Perhaps we just had an outlier of a bad experience and everyone was just off that day, but food is clearly not their selling point.

As this is a beautiful golf course, I was kinda expecting a little more for their restaurant. As safety precautions, all their seating area is done at their patio which we had no problem with as you’d get a gorgeous view of the field. I appreciate how they take social distancing carefully as every seat has a good amount of space far apart, and the “extra table” closer to the outside (depending on your seat) is where the waiter would give or take away anything you don’t need without them having to be too close to you. They have a regular menu and breakfast menu which runs from 8am-3pm in Saturday/Sunday. We ordered the Open Face Bacon Western Omelet and Angus Breakfast Sandwich. Overall, I find the dishes to be lacking in taste, as well as overall presentation of the dishes. I would have assumed the Omelet would be what you’d normally get at other restaurants, but theirs was presented as just an egg with the toppings sprinkled on top. Personally, if this was what I was getting for the price, I might as well make it at home myself. I’ve never seen or been served an omelette like this before and was pretty disappointed overall. Beside the beautiful views, I probably would not return to this restaurant unless my family or friends want to visit. IG: Ayenomz

My family and I used to visit the Silo Grill fairly often before the pandemic, and we were always very happy with the service and food. The chef changed at some point during the pandemic, and maybe the ownership did as well, but things have definitely changed for the worse. My family and I have now gone for brunch twice this year, and each time was quite disappointing. The first time I tried the Cinnamon French Toast. On the menu it says it comes with chocolate sauce and pecan butter, but when the plate arrived, there was hardly a drizzle of chocolate sauce, and there was no pecan butter to be seen. When asked about it, the waitress replied that it was likely cooked into the batter of the French toast. No cinnamon could be tasted either. This latest visit, I tried the Orange Buttermilk Pancakes, which is supposed to come with Strawberry Angus Honey Butter, and Niagara Berry Compote. As it's in the title of the dish, I would have expected to taste some orange in the pancakes, but I couldn't taste any. If you have it listed on the menu as an ingredient, I should be able to see/taste it! The Strawberry Angus Honey Butter was a nice addition, but there was no compote. The waitress said she didn't know about the honey butter or the compote but would ask the chef. She came back with a small bowl of fresh berries, and said the chef didn't know that the compote went with the pancakes. Fresh berries are not a compote, not even close. Also, I am sure that they water down their maple syrup (or table syrup). It is extremely watery both times I was there, and didn't taste like much.

My mom had ordered a tea with her breakfast, and not only did it not come with a teapot, it was brought as a single cup with the teabag already in it. I've never seen tea served like that anywhere. Very strange as the table next to us got a teapot.... Lastly, she had ordered the 3 Egg Whites scrambled. As vegetarians, we always are on the look-out for good vegetarian breakfasts, and this seemed like a great dish as it comes with asparagus, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, and orange and grapefruit segments. The tomatoes, orange and grapefruit were missing, and instead there was bacon on the plate. The waitress said the chef thought we had ordered the Farm Fresh Eggs. I can't believe that the waitresses don't even know what's in dishes, or how they are made. I would also expect the chefs to know what goes with what dish.

Overall, quite a disappointing few experiences with the new chef, and I'm not sure that we'll be returning. For the price, with all those mistakes and inconsistencies, it doesn't seem worth it. The two stars I'm giving are for the friendly service, friendly hostess, and great view over the...

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Silo Grill located in Angus Glen, and I need to mention that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for a truly memorable afternoon btw check out the artwork as well!

The first thing that caught our attention was the impeccable service, the staff at Silo Grill were attentive, knowledgeable, kind and very accommodating even as busy as it was! I can say that they went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect and they exceeded our expectations and made us feel like valued guests.

We were looking for something fresh and new and if you are as well - Silo Grill offers a diverse menu that caters to a variety of tastes.

Our meals were meticulously prepared with an incredible attention to detail. Our compliments to the culinary expertise of the team and chef at Silo Grill.

One standout dish that left a lasting impression was our Ribeyes, cooked to perfection, ( both mediums) it was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The accompanying sides were equally delightful, complementing the steak beautifully. The menu also boasts an impressive selection of wines and specialty drinks allowing you to find the perfect pairing for your meal.

Beyond the exceptional food and service, the atmosphere at Silo Grill is truly remarkable. The elegant decor, cozy seating, and soothing background music create a welcoming and relaxed ambiance. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a delightful meal or date like we did, Silo Grill offers the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. It’s worth the drive for an enjoyable dinner experience.

In conclusion, Silo Grill at Angus Glen deserves every bit of this five-star rating. The combination of outstanding service, delectable cuisine, and a charming atmosphere makes it a must-visit culinary destination. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Silo Grill will surely leave you with a lasting impression we drove...
