I came with my mom and Grandma as something to do, we enjoy trying new places, and seeing what the old Arby's got turned into seemed like a fun activity for us. It looks very nostalgic as not much has changed, though it feels more clean and open, which is a nice improvment. I will say, the wall between the cashier's and the "take out" is a bit big and makes it hard to see the menu, as it was pretty packed with people during supper rush when we went. So that is my only complaint there. As for the food, I got 5 tenders, biscut, poutine and an apple pie. It was DELISHIOUS and I was full. I ended up taking half my poutine and 2 tenders home. I very well could have gotten away with the 3 tenders. But I do like when I get the opportunity to have a snack for later. The apple pie was good, nothing special, but the biscuit on the other hand was amazing and I would come back for that alone, the honey on it made it crunchy and sweet on the outside, hot and fluffy on the inside. The chicken was good, I like that there was an option for people who cannot handel spice; the breading was a wonderful texture, however I wish it was a little more seasoning on it. The meat was delishious and juicy. The poutine was also very good, the crinkle cut was a nice change, and the gravy was so good, and melted the cheese very nice. The staff was also extremely friendly. I felt bad I had to have the cashier repeat herself a few times, but she was very understanding and good about it, she didn't seem irritated at all. Each staff that saw us was very friendly and approachable. Overall, the experience was nice, the food was great, my family and I was a wonderful time, and plan...
Read moreStopped by to see how Church's Chicken compares to other places. The service was very good fast and friendly didn't have to wait very long max 5 mins from the time we ordered to getting the meal. So let's start with you guess it the Chicken... So crispy yes it's pretty crispy, also the meal was hot steam was rolling off every bit. The chicken was juicy and not dry likely to do with the high volume of customers ordering. Far as spicy yeah it has some spices on it but not very spicy not like Jollibee's. Very similar to Popeye's for taste and size. The onion rings will you get only 5 for a size so there's that, there nothing special pretty similar to Denny's onion rings. The Honey Biscuit is a bit different from the normal one like you would get any other Chicken restaurants. Has a honey coating which give it a crunch and sweet taste. The hot apple pies are a bit on the sad side not very big and plain nothing special. A&W for the win for Hot Apple pies. All in all for the price it's not too bad but definitely can use some improvements on the Apple pies and the level of Spicy on the chicken. The atmosphere is on the dull side not much to look at just some table and chairs. Could use some umbrella's for the patio as sitting in the direction sun isn't very fun on a hot summer's day. Thanks for the...
Read moreA den of obnoxious meats. Starts off with rude lackluster service. The fella at the counter literally rolled his eyes while making the order. He constantly yelled at me for every simple question I politely asked (hates the job maybe) For example, the ice machine was empty (second location with either broken or empty ice machine) I expressed that I'd like some ice and informed him of that. He acted like it was a chore to accommodate a paying customer and unprofessionally decided to further yell at me that he would refill it! Then he ordered me to take a seat! The water button kept releasing water and I said how do I stop it he then lectured me like an idiot on how to stop the broken button (pretty sure he's exactly that) then of course he never fulfilled the request for the ice replacement until after I brought it up again and another employee filled my cup (half full) with ice. I've been to many Churches Chicken locations elsewhere, and the service and quality is exceptional. That's two locations now in Alberta that are not up to company standards. Service is miserable, and food quality terrible, warered down sodas yikes. Won't be back anytime soon and never again at this dump of a location period. You get better chicken at a...
